Adam Yauch, or “MCA” was in the hip hop group “The Beastie Boys”
They are very, very famous around the world.
Buddhist Rapper
Adam Yauch was a Buddhist.He sometimes rapped about Buddhism, as in the song “Bodhisattva Vow”
He married a Tibetan Buddhist woman.
He was a practicing Buddhist for many years.
Tibetan Freedom
Adam Yauch was the most important organizer of the Tibetan Freedom Concerts.Money from this concert was given to Tibetan monks.
Adam Yauch has met with the Dalai Lama in 1995.
The Dalai Lama is said to be the reincarnation of the Buddha.
Adam Yauch died of cancer on May 4, 2012. He was 47 years old.
