Discover efficiency with the Hotel Explorer.HiPath Hotel Standard provides a clear,easy-to-use Windows user interface at one or more networked PCs. At thecheck-in there is the Room OccupancyAssistant and at check-out the BillingAssistant. Each movement of guests isregistered and booked into the system –up to 100 different items can be record-ed including restaurant bills and saunacharges. If the customer requires a bill to be shown in two currencies, thisservice can be provided with a singlemouse-click.

Not a single cent is unaccounted for.HiPath Hotel Standard can easily keeptrack of guests who change rooms ormake telephone calls from the hoteltelephone booths or cordless handsetsprovided in the conference rooms,because all charges are automaticallyassigned to the correct guest account.

Wake-up calls in eight languages. A wake-up call can be booked on the PCat Reception or through the telephone in the guest’s room. Guests will always begreeted in the language that they haverequested.

Announcements save work for Reception.When linked to a voice mail system, thesystem enables announcements forvarious services, ranging from the pricesof different services to the menu of theday in the hotel restaurant, to be calledup via the room telephone.

Complexities of special reservationsare handled with simplicity.Special rates, company tariffs or variousflat rates for travel agencies are no pro-blem – the Reservation Assistant presentsyou with all individual room prices andthe complete occupancy plan. In addition,trade shows can be superimposed on the plan and color coding can be appliedto groups.

Problems solved for residential homesfor the elderly.From settlement at the till to prepayment,there are special features for rest homesgeared toward the long-stay requirementsof the guests. For example, telephonecharges can be billed automatically at theend of each month or debited from aprepaid account using the prepaymentfunction. The interface to the accountingsystems of the medical insurance com-panies considerably simplifies paymenttransactions.

It goes without saying that thereis also a possibility of entering plain textcomments. Each order is tracked on screenwith its status and time. Reporting functions for efficientdeployment of personnel.All internal and external calls as well as ser-vice requests are recorded and storedwith a time stamp in the central database.The results are the basis of a high-efficien-cy personnel management. You discover,for example, when peak periods occurcausing bottlenecks in the provision of per-sonnel. You also recognize immediatelywhere and when savings can be made inpersonnel expenditure. Intelligent routing functions automatically raise the level of service.Guests or external callers are, even at peakperiods, connected immediately, becauseit is possible to link additional PC agentworkstations from other areas automatic-ally.
