DESCRIPTION
With the Peace Palace, the international courts and tribunals and dozens of IO’s and Ngo’s, The Hague is a hub in the field of Peace and Justice. A field where a large focus lies on (among others) human rights, peace building, conflict prevention and mediation, international laws and combatting international crimes and arms trade. The Hispeed Tour will give a quick overview and will highlight the role of The Hague as a global frontrunner in the field of Peace and Justice. A moderated Q/A session will address questions that shed light on the (inter)national trends, the main challenges and ways to overcome them, and the required skill-sets to enter this field. Particularly the skills in Peace and Justice are often overlooked as people forget that this sector is also in dire need of professionals with experience in graphic design, communication, social media and fundraising – to name a few.
