Executive Summary The Division of Parks and Recreaon is seeking proposals from vendors to provide facility management at Bellevue Hall and its surrounding grounds. The Division’s goal is to aract and provide park patrons with unique event/acvity opportunies. Vendors are encouraged to submit creave business proposals that may include, but are not limited to: l Public event coordinaon services l Creang and hosng public and private events l Creang a bed and breakfast l Creaon of a small table restaurant or a catering services business l Refurbishing facilies The Division will engage in a cost share for approved capital improvements. History Bellevue Hall mansion commands a grand view of this historic estate, and its present form reflects alteraons made by William du Pont, Jr. Mr. du Pont surrounded his home with the finest facilies: tennis courts, equestrian stables, gardens, and a picturesque pond, amid woodlands and fields overlooking the Delaware River. The park was acquired by the State of Delaware in 1976 and the Division of Parks and Recreaon has since retained the historic charm of Bellevue while providing many opportunies for recreaon. A 1-1/8 mile fitness track circles a stocked catch-and-release fishing pond and nearby hiking trails allow you to explore other parts of the estate. If you prefer cycling, both paved and unpaved paths lead you on a leisurely tour.
