The Generations family has been providing exceptional service to seniors for over seven decades.

In 1943 Alonzo and Mabel Maddock founded a “rest home” in Grants Pass, Oregon. There they dedicated themselves to caring for their residents as well as helping to raise their three grandchildren,

including Generations founder, Wendell White.

After finishing college, Wendell proudly followed his grandparents’ vision of the highest standards of service and quality care in a home-like environment. In 1965 he opened his own nursing home, expanding into Portland, Oregon

with the founding of a second nursing home in 1975. In 1994, Wendell’s children and their spouses joined the business and we became focused on large resort-style and amenity rich senior living and mixed used communities.

The family business has grown to be a vertically integrated company that includes design

and architecture, development, construction, management, and facility ownership.
