NO CELL PHONES OUT IN CLASS
Use of cell phones during the school day is restricted to before school, lunch time, pass-
ing time between classes and after school. If a student is ill, he/she should report to the
office to have them call their parent. Teachers will be taking phones that are out in class
to the office for pick up by the parent/guardian. If a parent/guardian needs to get a
message to their student, they should call the school and the message will be relayed
to the student.

If you believe --- You will achieve!
Dear Tomah High School Parents and Guardians:
For those families who don’t know, Tomah High School has added 3 new faces to the Counseling department. John
(Jack) Sulik – whose case load will include student last names in the “H” through “O” range; Ms. Samantha Ahler, cover-
ing students whose last names begin with “A” through “G”; and Ms. Hailey Brown who will be assisting students whose
last names begin with “P” through “Z”. The Tomah Counseling team welcomes all of you to a fantastic school full of Tim-
berwolf Pride! Throughout a student’s high school experience, you will find our services to be an integral part of your
education. Collectively, our counseling staff, along with our administrative assistant Mrs. Dougherty, will work diligently
to engage students, foster achievement and inspire excellence throughout your remaining two years at Tomah. Please
know you are an extension of our team and we look forward to assisting with your academic, personal/social and col-
lege/career needs.
Your Tomah School Counselors Are:
• Child advocates who work collaboratively with parents, students, teachers, administrators and communities.
• Educational specialists who assist students with their academic, career development and personal/social areas.
The Goals of the Tomah School Counseling Department Are:
• To assist students with academic, personal, career and goal planning.
• To develop personalized programs based on each student’s strengths and needs.
• To help students understand themselves and others.
• To assist students in identifying and resolving problems.
• To facilitate the identification of students with special needs.
• To provide responsive services.
• To coordinate referrals to school and community support services.
• To serve as a resource to students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• To address developmental needs of THS students.
To date THS Counselors have been busy with schedule changes, assisting students and parents, orienting new students, and focus-ing on meeting with juniors and seniors to update them about upcoming events regarding post-secondary planning. Please call the counseling office if you have any questions or concerns. We are thrilled to be working with your students and hope to meet all the
families that make the TASD such a wonderful community!
