As musical ambassadors, they perform all over the state, supporting a plethora of civilian and military ceremonies.

4:45pm: Christmas Lighting Ceremony!Traditional alphorns kick-off the parade of stars & bells and the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Santa and a few local celebrities will lead the countdown to the lighting of the town and park with over half a million lights! This is the moment we‘ve all been waiting for!

Aaron’s steady rhythms and swelling bows create an unmatchable tone on the upright bass, and paired with Beth’s beautifully haunting vocals, lands an unparalleled combination.

4:30pm: Arrival of Saint Nikolaus!Saint Nikolaus arrives at the Gazebo by carriage with gifts of “gold” for the good boys and girls!

5:00pm-6:00pm: Lindberg High School Band & OrchestraLindbergh High School’s band and orchestra, under the direction of Brian Dyson and Lauren Daugherty, is part of an incredibly diverse community in Renton, WA. 6:00pm-7:00pm: Mount Tahoma High School Choir, Band and OrchestraThe Mount Tahoma High School Department brings to you groups from their band, orchestra and choir! Performing at the Christmas Lighting Festival in Leavenworth has become a tradition for this school’s music department.

7:00pm-9:00pm: Gavin McLaughlinGavin McLaughlin is a local musician who resides just north of Wenatchee. His eclectic style and passion for performance are the foundation of his musical endeavors.

Saturday, December 21, 201911:00am- 12:30pm: Ernest PalmerErnest Palmer is a regular performer with Leavenworth Summer Theater and has appeared at Village Theatre and The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle. After living in Leavenworth for several years, he is now a full time resident of Cashmere, WA.

12:00pm: Arrival of Santa!Meet us on Front Street as a cast of Christmas characters – including Father Christmas, Santa and Mrs. Claus – march from the Festhalle to the Gazebo with all the pomp & circumstance necessary to kick-off the festivities! Participate in this weekend’s theme and dress like an elf to march in the parade! Meet at the Festhalle (#5 on the map) at 11:45am.

12:30pm-1:30pm: Chinook Middle School Jazz BandChinook Middle School is a new school located in Kennewick, Washington, who just opened its doors in 2016. This is the group’s third year performing at this event and they are looking forward to making a performance in Leavenworth during the Christmas Lighting an annual tradition.

2:30pm-4:00pm: First Romanian Pentecostal Church of KenmoreThe church, baded in Kenmore, has several musical ministries, filled with talented and passionate people. Among such, they have a youth choir, which is presently under the direction of Mr. Ovidiu Pop. The choir has flourished under Ovidiu’s guidance, as he puts in countless hours of time and effort to shape young musical ears and hearts.
