Introduction

The 5th grade students in Corbett will be shopping this holiday season! It doesn’t matter what your background is or what you believe in. It is always a great feeling to give back to your favorite people…including yourself! Click on your grade level to find the process you will be following.5th grade

5th Grade Task

• You will be going on a holiday shopping spree for yourself! You will make a list of your top ten holiday picks from Toys R Us. Your choices will range from the Nintendo Wii to a Matchbox car. It’s up to you to decide! You have been given an unlimited budget. Happy shopping!

5th Grade Process

• Brainstorm a list of gifts that you would like to get for the holidays.

• Browse through catalogs and search www.toysrus.com to get even more ideas for gifts that you would like.

• Complete the Holiday Shopping Spree Chart with your final gift choices listed in order from greatest to least.

• You will then write a persuasive letter to whoever you think is most likely to get you the gift that you want the most. Provide convincing reasons so that you will hopefully get what you want.
