You can earn Purple Rands cash back when you spend money from your Hollard MoneyTM Account at participating Purple Rands partners.

Purple Rands will usually be in the form of “cash back”. This is money that gets paid back into your Hollard MoneyTM Account.

Once Purple Rands have been paid into your account you can save, spend or withdraw the money as you wish.

Purple Rands might occasionally be offered in the form of discounts. These discounts reduce the price of the item that you are buying. E.g. When buying Nu Metro movie tickets using cell phone banking, the purchase price is already discounted by at least 5% compared to the normal ticket price at a cinema.

Buy digital shopping vouchers using your cell phone

• Earn Purple Rands when you use cell phone banking (*120*150*46#) to buy Digital Vouchers

• Digital Vouchers are used for payment, or partial payment, when shopping at participating Purple Rands partner outlets

Swipe your Hollard Money debit card to make a purchase

• Earn Purple Rands when you swipe your Hollard Money debit card to buy products or services at participating Purple Rands partner outlets

When do Purple Rands get paid?

All the Purple Rands that you earn in a month will be paid into your Hollard MoneyTM Account at the end of the following month.

For exampleWhen you earn Purple Rands on any days in January, the total amount of Purple Rands cash back that you earn will be paid into your account at the end of February.

Note:When purchasing a Digital Voucher, your Voucher code will be sent to you immediately and will be available for use as soon as you receive it.

However, the Purple Rands that you earn will only be paid to you at the end of the following month.

Where do Purple Rands get paid to?

Purple Rands get paid into your Hollard MoneyTM Account. Once Purple Rands have been paid into your account you can save, spend or withdraw the money as you wish.

1. Digital shopping vouchers

You can earn Purple Rands when you buy Digital Vouchers to redeem at participating Purple Rands partner outlets.

How to buy a Digital Voucher:

1. Dial *120*150*46# on your cell phone

2. Select the menu option for Purple Rands

3. Follow the prompts

4. The Digital Voucher code will be sent to your cell phone by SMS

5. The value of the Digital Voucher will be deducted from your Hollard Money Account

You must present this Digital Voucher code at the till point to make full or partial payment for your purchase at the participating partner outlet.

You will receive a percentage of the Digital Voucher as Purple Rands cash back paid into your Hollard MoneyTM Account at the end of the following month.

Simply use your Hollard Money debit card to pay for your bus tickets from any APM sales office and 5% of your ticket price will be paid as cash back into your Hollard MoneyTM Account.

Airtime and Prepaid Electricity

If you use your Hollard MoneyTM Account Internet Banking or cell phone banking (*120*150*46#) to pay for airtime or prepaid electricity, you will receive 1% of the value of your purchase as Purple Rands cash back.

A minimum value of R50 airtime or prepaid electricity needs to be bought to qualify for Purple Rands cash back.

Purple Rands cash back will be paid into your Hollard Money Account at the end of the following month.

Standard rates apply.

Hollard MoneyTM will notify you of any changes to the Purple Rands benefits at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
