Climate The sun is almost out all day. The temperature is between 113 degrees and 49 degrees. Its cold in the morning then warms up from the warm big sun which makes it hot in the grasslands.

Grassland facts Grasslands once covered 42% of earth. Prairie is the name of grassland in Paris. Herbivores are plant eaters and carnivores are meat eaters. Lions, tiger, hyena and wild dogs are carnivores.

Grassland world wideYou can find grasslands in/near British places. There are lots of places to find grasslands there's a place called steppe there’s a bit of grassland their. Hear are more places you can find grassland . Hears some of the other places. East Africa , Tanzania and India. And you can normally find them between deserts and rainforest.

PlantsI'm going to tell you some of the grasslands plants. Trees in grassland only have not many leaves but they still have enough to feed a giraffe. There's also big grass that animals can hide in so they don’t get killed and eaten. Sometimes there are little pools in them which is a little hard to find because of the big grass.

lionLions are carnivores. Carnivores are meat-eaters. Lions live in packs. That means they live in a group. The male lions usually just lay around and the female lions called lioness will take care for the cubs and they do all of the hunting. But the male lion will protect his territory. And the male lion will fight any other male lion that wants to over take him.

BaboonBaboons are a type of monkey. Baboons have the weirdest bottom. Its pink. They have this pink butts that makes every one laugh. There is no reason they have pink butts. They also have those big front fangs. A baboons most often predators are humans , cheetah and a leopards. A baboon grows to 4 or 5 feet tall. Baboons weight is up to 80 or 90 pounds.
