Lensafe IILENsaFE ll provides wide-spread glare-free fluorescent gen-
eral and security lighting. ln security LENSAFE ll, two rapid-
start lamps are lighted when normal ac power is present The
unit instantaneously switches to one-lamp battery-powered
operation whenever an outage occurs, and automaticallyswitches back to norrnal power when it is restored. LENSAFE ll
is avar able also in rnatching two-lamp general-illuminatlon
units, which (working a ong with security LENSAFE ll) provide
the normal-task il uminaiion level when bui ding power is
present.Like single.lamp LEr.rsare. this two lamp higher-output unituti izes an efficient injection-mo ded, prismatic CoNTFoLENS'
dependable solid-state circurtry, unique battery-charging clr-cuit, long-life sealed batteries that do not require maintenance
for up to B years code-requrred lamp-tesi switch and battery-conditlon indicator light, rugged exiruded aluminum housing,

Rugged aluminum housing. General and secunty LENSAFE llluminaires have extruded alumrnum housings rather thanthe sheet-metal housings typical of ordinary fluorescentfixtures The aluminum extrusion is more rugged than sheetmeta and dissipates heat better, improving the therr.talprotection for the enclosed sol d-state circuitry andsealed batteries.
