Dear Parishioners,

PARISH ACTIVITIES

SUNDAY COLLECTION

School News

I am taking this opportunity to bring to your attention the outcome of our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament. There is a new banner in front of our Church which is replicated on the front of this bulletin.

This event took place on Friday, May 23, at the Riverway Golf Course and Clubhouse in Burnaby. You may remember that in the morning the day was quite rainy; but, by the afternoon it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. Truly, we could not have asked for better weather. We had a fantastic turnout – 112 golfers and then another 88 people who joined us for dinner.

I draw your attention to the front cover of this bulletin that is acknowledging the sponsors and, of course, the support of so many volunteers. I especially want to make mention of a few groups that should not be missed: CWL, Knights of Columbus, HC Elementary Staff and Parents and those parishioners who “stepped up-to-the tee. Then there was the Golf Committee that spent numerous hours to prepare for this event: Vic Nakhleh, Matilda DeLazzari, Dario Kuna, Kres Brzica, Carmine Morelli, Michael Marchioro, Ana Revel & Yvonne Zaradic. We are already looking and planning towards next year’s 4th Annual Golf Tournament. What a great way to promote our Parish Community!

This fun-filled event raised over $33,000 and it will go towards the seismic upgrade project on the school and church property.

God bless!Fr. Maciej Wos, SDS
