The First Day of Unleavened Bread: The Day AFTER The Passover

“Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is Sacrificed for us: Therefore let us KEEP The Feast (of Unleavened Bread, on the 15th day of Spring’s New Moon, the day AFTER The LORD’s Passover, which was Observed on the 14th day) not with old leaven, neither with the

leaven of malice and wickedness; but with The Unleavened Bread of Sincerity and Truth” (1 Corinthians 5:7-8).

What is Unleavened Bread; and WHY Does Jesus Christ REQUIRE us, in The New Testament Church of God, to Observe EIGHT days, every year, of eating ONLY Unleavened Bread? www.onug.us

Unleavened Bread - DEFINITION: (noun), a brittle, flat bread eaten at Passover, and for seven consecutive days afterwards, by those who Follow God’s Commanded Feast Days in The Bible (both in The Old and New Testaments);

which DOES NOT contain leaven, yeast, or baking powder to make it rise when baked.

Synonyms: matzah, matzo, matzoh.

Jesus Christ uses His Feast of Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:4-8) and Leaven, as an analogy, to picture SIN in our lives; something that puffs up, or makes us arrogant before God! Leaven in our bread, is something God Commands us to REMOVE from our homes, our lives, and our foods – for 8 DAYS – every year AFTER Passover; SO WE WILL UNDERSTAND THE NEED TO REMOVE SPIRITUAL LEAVEN FROM OUR BODIES AND OUR LIVES – ALL YEAR LONG; NOW THAT WE HAVE BEEN WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!!! www.onug.us

The Types of Leaven:

Jesus Tells us to Beware of the Leaven of the Pharisees which is Hypocrisy (Luke 12:1-2). www.onug.us

What kind of hypocrisy did they have (Matthew 23:5-12)?

Let’s look at Christ’s Warning to them (Matthew 23:13-15). They work to be seen of men! They devour widow’s houses, and as a pretense, they say a long prayer! They omit the weightier things of The Law, and leave them undone (Matthew 23:23-27).

How does Christ really SEE them (Matthew 23:28-33)?

Hypocrite: From the Greek word “hypokrites”, that means “Pretender”!!! This is where we got the word “actor” in modern English! Are You a Pretender? According to Jesus Christ’s definition of a Christian; are you a Pretend Christian? You better be sure! Jesus Says in many places in The Bible, that there are many, many pretenders in the world today that PRETEND to be Christians, but according to JESUS – are NOT!!! Boy, are they in

This is what Paul meant when He used the words, “Sincerity” and “Truth” (1 Corinthians 5:8)!!! This is what Jesus Christ meant when He Said we MUST Worship God The Father, in SPRIT and in TRUTH (John 4:23-24)!!!

It is possible to be sincere, and not be remotely grounded in TRUTH! Jesus Requires BOTH from HIS Followers… and He Provides HIS HOLY FEAST DAYS for us; so there is No Excuse, on our part, for doing EXACTLY What God The Father REQUIRES of us. We have The Bible, God’s Feasts, Jesus Christ’s Personal Example, and HIS WORDS. Then we have the Apostles and their disciples’ examples. Combine that with The Power of The Spirit of God, within us; and we deserve to be Rejected by Christ, at His Return – if we are still Hypocrites (Revelation 20:1-6)!!! www.onug.us

Hypocrites will NOT have their part in The First Resurrection (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 / 1 Corinthians 15:20-23); but will have their part in The Lake of Fire – after The Thousand Year Rule of Christ on earth, and after The Second Resurrection, if they continue in their hypocrisy (Luke 16:19-31)!!!

The Truth and LOVE of God, is that He is Calling us out of Hypocrisy, today! Can you “Hear” Him Calling YOU? Can Your Eyes “See”, And Can Your Ears “Hear” God’s Truth –AS JESUS TAUGHT IT (John 4:22-26)?

“Hear now this, O FOOLISH people, and WITHOUT Understanding; which have eyes, and see NOT; which have ears, and hear NOT!!!” (Jeremiah 5:21).

It is naturally difficult to tell the Truth; especially if it is not going to benefit you, or if it is going to hurt you! You have to condition yourself to always default to The TRUTH; because our natural, Satan inspired inclination, is to lie. That is WHY God Gave us The Ninth Commandment (Exodus 20:16).

Truth: The quality of sincerity and honesty. Being in accord with

the facts; experience and reality! Without wax or a false foundation (history of the vase or urn) – is it real, without fault?

The Apostle John uses the word “Truth” 93 times in his gospels. In the entire rest of The New Testament, God Inspires the word “Truth” to be used another 90 times! I hope you will agree with me, TRUTH is Important to God (John 4:24)!!! Look at How God Sums Up TRUTH in The Last Book of The Bible (Revelation 21:5, 22:6, 12-14)!

Sincerity: The same in actual character as you are in actual appearance. What you see is what you get. In Reality, it is what GOD Sees, is what WE Will Get – for better or for worse!

Do we know what “Truth” is? The Bible Says God’s Word and His Ways are Truth (John 17:15-19). God Uses This truth, His Truth, to UNIFY us into ONE Body of Believers; who all Worship The Father IN The EXACT SAME WAY that Christ Showed us to (John 17:20-26)!!! This Body of Believers, His Church; consists of different “folds” of sheep (John 10:16), that all belong to The SAME Shepherd; and they ALWAYS have The SAME THINGS IN COMMON (Acts 2:42, 44, 46-47 / John 10:4-5)! The Jews DO NOT have Christ in “their” Jewish” Passover – always kept ONE DAY TOO LATE (on the 15th day of Aviv; instead of The Commanded night of the 14th, like Jesus

ALWAYS Kept His Passover on! Most Christians now follow the fat bald man in Rome (Daniel 7:25), in keeping an Ancient Pagan Fertility Rite to Ashtoreth, Ishtar, or EASTER – on the Sunday morning following The True Passover! God’s Holy Spirit will Lead us into ALL Truth (John 16:13-15)!!!

Today, Satan has many people worshipping God’s Holy Spirit, instead of asking God for that Power at Baptism, and using it to overcome this evil world! The most Powerful weapon against Satan sits on their altars, instead of flowing through their mortal flesh, to empower them to wield The Sword of The WORD of God (Hebrews 4:12-16). And of those few in the world, who do Understand that The Power of God is NOT a deity, but rather a tool; they can’t use it, because they either forgot

or refuse to FOLLOW, the Operating Instructions – which were Given to us in the previous eleven verses (Hebrews 4:1-11)!!! 3) Eat Unleavened Bread for 7 Days, and FOCUS on putting Sin and Satan’s Ways OUT from your lives!!!

1) Just Confess and Love Jesus in Your Heart to be Saved (No Works, Actions, or Obedience is Required)!

2) Keep the Pagan Sunrise Festival of Ashtoreth, Ishtar, or Easter!

3) Color Eggs, Eat Chocolate Bunnies, and Marshmallow Peeps!

You have a Duty before God, to PROVE His Truth, and To Keep His Truth! We have a Commandment from Christ to

Worship God The Father, and to Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23-24)!!! OBEY GOD; NOT SATAN!!!

New wine is still fermenting, and expanding. It must be put in a new wine skin, which can stretch and grow with the wine;

2) Speak The TRUTH. Do it with love, not to hurt others, but speak The Truth. Don’t be cruel, but speak The Truth (Ephesians 4:1-7 / Matthew 22:15-16 / Zachariah 8:16). Don’t Beat Around The Bush, Tell It Straight, But In Love!

Are we removing Hypocrisy and lies from our lives? Are we Speaking and Doing The Truth (Ephesians 4:14-16, 25-32)?

3) Love The TRUTH (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 / Psalm 119:47-48, 97-113 / Micah 7:18 / Psalm 130:4-8)! God LOVES to FORGIVE people who FORSAKE lies and iniquity, and who EMBRACE His TRUTH (John 17:17)!!!

4) Give Thanks For, and Live For The TRUTH (2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 / 1 John 3:18-24 / 2 John 3-4 / 3 John 3-4 / 1 Peter 1:22 / Philippians 1:10)!!!

Collecting The Holy Day Offering:

“Three times in a year shall all thy males Appear Before The LORD thy God in the place which He shall Choose; in The Feast of Unleavened Bread (Spring Holy Days – see Leviticus 23), and in The Feast of Weeks (at Pentecost), and in The Feast of Tabernacles (Fall Holy Days – see Leviticus 23): and they shall NOT Appear Before The LORD empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to The

Blessing of The LORD Thy God, which He hath Given thee!!!” (Deuteronomy 16:16).

God Tells the members of His Church to bring an Offering, when we Assemble before Him on Holy Days, as each man purposes in his heart (2 Corinthians 9:6-8 / Exodus 25:1-9 / Malachi 3:6-12).

This would be applicable to us this year on Sunday, 28 March 2021 (The First Day of Unleavened Bread), and also on Saturday, 03 April 2021 (The Last Day of Unleavened Bread). Let’s read:

“But this I Say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God Loveth a Cheerful Giver!!! And God is Able to Make ALL

Grace Abound Toward YOU; that YE, Always having ALL Sufficiency in ALL Things, May Abound To Every Good Work!!!” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).

“And The LORD Spake unto Moses, Saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring Me an Offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart, ye shall take My Offering! And this is The Offering which ye shall take of them: Gold, and Silver, and Brass…” (Exodus 25:1-9).

“For I Am The LORD, I Change NOT; therefore ye sons of

Jacob are not consumed! Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from Mine Ordinances, and have NOT Kept Them! Return unto Me, and I will Return unto YOU, Saith The LORD of Hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me!!! But ye say, Wherein (or how) have we robbed Thee? In Tithes and Offerings!!! Ye are cursed with a Curse: for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation!!! Bring ye all the Tithes into the storehouse, that there may be Meat (Spiritual Food) in Mine House, and PROVE Me now

herewith, Saith The LORD of Hosts, if I will not OPEN you The Windows of Heaven, and POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING, that there shall not be Room Enough To Receive It!!! And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, Saith The LORD of Hosts! And all nations shall call you Blessed: for ye shall be a Delightsome Land, Saith The LORD of Hosts!!!” (Malachi 3:6-12).

He Leaves The Responsibility of Tithing (each time we receive an increase), and of Offerings (on each of God’s Annual Holy Days) up to the Individual Disciple, and to each head of each household; for them to contribute to

whatever fold of His Sheep, which God Has Attached them to (John 10:16). But make no mistake, when you Come Before The True God, there are Curses or Blessings associated with HOW we Worship God, and with HOW we Honor Him with our finances! So today, and this week; make sure you have examined yourself, and your finances, before your Heavenly Father!!!

Are YOU New Wine In A New Wine Skin?

Human nature has not changed! These days of Unleavened Bread

are an Annual Memorial to God's Law, and to His Powerful Deliverance of His people from Egypt (sin) and bondage (slavery to those sins); of their conversion from slaves – into the VERY CHILDREN OF GOD (1 John 3:1-2 / Daniel 12:1-3)!!!

Paul explained this significance to the Corinthians, and as God did with the Israelites; he also attached a sense of urgency for them to cease from sinning (2 Corinthians 6:17)! Paul says we should not even keep company with a brother involved in flagrant sin; as their puffed up attitude in the face of other brothers and sisters, will leaven the whole loaf

(congregation)! Also, by ridding our homes of leaven and leavened products (sin and the things that encourage us to sin) each year as we approach This Feast; we realize that overcoming sin is hard work, and takes lots and lots of effort!!! www.onug.us

Why are there seven days of Unleavened Bread, but only one day of each of Passover, Pentecost, Trumpets and Atonement (Exodus 12:19 / Hebrews 12:1 / 1 Corinthians 9:27; 10:12-13 / Romans 7:14-25)?

God Knows that we tend to change slowly (sometimes that is an

understatement with me!). He Gives us seven days each year to concentrate on OUR duty to rid our lives of sin. Those Acts that are God's Responsibility, such as The Sacrifice of His Son for all sin, The Sending Down of His Holy Spirit, The Resurrection of the dead, or The Binding of Satan; God Can Accomplish ALL Those Things in Just ONE DAY!!! The part that involves mankind's participation, such as our overcoming of sin in

our lives; well, that requires much more Time and Attention!!! These Seven Days of Unleavened Bread represent a period of “judgment” when man is Required to Overcome (it represents our lifetimes, after we are Called and Baptized)! To us, Overcoming a deep seated sin, can seem to take an eternity (Isaiah 66:23-24 / Zechariah 14:16-19)! The obvious lesson for us, is that we MUST draw much closer to The Source of That POWER, in order to Overcome! And we WILL (Psalm 103:10-14 / Romans 8:1-17)!!! www.onug.us

This world's Christianity has PERVERTED The LORD’s Passover into Easter, and they have Completely Dismissed The Days of Unleavened Bread!!! They don’t see any need for such a silly old custom; but hopefully now YOU DO!!! Hopefully, God Will Help YOU this year, to Come Out of these pagan feasts; and / or lead others to do the same (John 4:22-24)! Follow The Risen Christ to The Place that He Will SHOW YOU; NOT Satan to a dark, pagan ABOMINATION Before Almighty God!!!

What has the world Really Lost by avoiding The Holy Days of God (Revelation 3:12, 22:14-15 / Hebrews 6:4-6, 8-12, 12:14-29 / Zechariah 14:1, 4-5 / Revelation 5:9-10, 20:6)?

Most Christians today have LOST a vital step in their Salvation: SANCTIFICATION (Exodus 31:12-18 / Luke 13:22-30)!!! www.onug.us

God Sets Us Aside for a Lifetime of Overcoming Sin, so that

we might Enter into His Kingdom (Revelation 22:14-15)!!! By their "once saved, always saved" doctrine, worldly Christians deny the whole process of putting sin out of their lives. They believe that once they "accept Christ," their salvation is secure, that they cannot lose it - no matter what lifestyle they choose to live! This is in direct contradiction to God's Holy Word (read all of Hebrews Chapters 6 & 12 and prove this for yourself)!!!

God Has Chosen to Reveal to Us, This Festival Of Unleavened Bread, so that we will Overcome!!! So that we will Pursue Holiness!!! And so that we WILL SECURE

Eternal Life in His Kingdom – Following The Way, and The Example that Jesus Alone, SHOWED US - How to Walk In!!!

As we eat Unleavened Bread over the next 7 days, let us Give God Praise and Thanks, for His Revealed Truth of Unleavened Bread. Take it in. Relish it. REJOICE with your Called Out Brothers and Sisters! Praise God for THIS Holy Feast Day (Matthew 7:13-14)!!! Jesus is Sculpting “US” to FIT into The Narrow Gate!!! PRAISE ALMIGHTY GOD!!!

We all need to let Jesus Christ become our Personal Trainer; and start using the weight room, and the exercise equipment that God The Father has Provided to us; if we want to FIT inside that Narrow Gate (1 Peter 4:14-19 / 1 Corinthians 9:24-25)!!! WE SHOULD BE PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, AND SPIRITUALLY OBEYING GOD!!! That includes Getting RID Of The Physical and Spiritual Leavening in OUR Lives!!! COPY CHRIST; and LIVE!!!

The Real Jesus Christ Kept The LORD’s Passover with His Disciples on the eve of His death, and Commanded His Followers to Continue Doing So (Memorializing, RE-Memorializing, and RE-Membering His Death each year on the 14th day of Spring’s New Moon), UNTIL Jesus Returned in the clouds with Great Glory (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 / Colossians 2:16-17)!!!

Today, we DO The Same; and we ALSO Keep The Days of Unleavened Bread – so that we can put out sin, so that we can become more Christ-like, so that we can run FASTER,

Come out of the Wide, Broad Path that most Christians follow by keeping the pagan holiday of Easter - in Opposition to Jesus Christ’s ETERNAL Commands and VERY CLEAR Instructions (Deuteronomy 12:1-4, 28-32)!!!
