“Pastor’s Weekend Message”
“Forsake me not, O Lord, my God; be not far from me! Make haste and come to my help, O Lord,
my strong salvation!” Psalm 38 (37): 22-23 Greetings my dear Holy Family! We begin a beautiful Fall week. Can you believe that we are starting a new month this week? In November, we begin by celebrating the feast of All Saints (Nov. 1). This is a Holy Day of Obligation and attending Mass is a must celebration and is not optional. We also continue celebrating God’s pres-ence throughout the month with the feast of All Soul’s (Nov. 2). This Sunday’s Gospel also invites us to care, love and respect “all children” for theirs is the Kingdom of God. All of us are called to be great people - ‘even saints’, yes, believe it or not, you and I are called to live a life of “holiness”. Simply put, today, Jesus invites himself into your home and makes a straight forward invitation for all to be converted and be reconciled. This month of November, may we approach the Lord Jesus as children of God and live a holy life. Remember that love starts at home and it is lived everywhere in society. Let us also continue to celebrate, remember and pray for all of our brothers and sisters who have died and now live in the promise of the resurrection. We believe that we are des-tined to live with God in heaven. I invite you to pray, live and celebrate life in the Lord always. Please remember to write the names of your departed brothers and sisters in our Book of Life. Blessings, Fr. Juan. Holy Family Pastor
