PARISH MALVERN MENS RETREAT WEEKEND IS April 28, 29 & 30, 2017

“MEETING JESUS: ONE IS NEVER THE SAME”

In today’s world of 24/7 sound bites, non-stop commercials, loud music and

the like, it can be difficult to hear the really important voices in our life.

Sometimes we just need a quiet, safe place where we can listen to our God

who knows us, loves us and wants to tell us what is best for us. The Malvern

Retreat House is such a place. Join the men of the parish the weekend of

April 28, 29, & 30, 2017 for their Malvern retreat. To learn more, call Frank

Strawser at 302-593-2362 or email [email protected]. For information

on retreats for men women, married couples and families visit our website at malvernretreat.com or call

610-644-0400.

God’s love for us is based on

His Perfection, not ours.

Office of Priestly and Religious Vocations

Diocese of Wilmington

In today’s gospel, Jesus raises Lazarus to new life.

Through their ministry and the way they live their

lives, God calls priests, deacons, religious sisters and

religious brothers to join in His work of breathing new

life into the Church. Is He calling you to participate in

this incredible undertaking? If you think so, call or

write Father Norm Carroll, Diocesan Director of

Priestly and Religious Vocations (302-573-3113; voca-

MARRIAGE MOMENTS - Research indicates that the

average person listens for 17 seconds before interrupting.

Sometimes one spouse may be more long winded than the

other. Sometimes one hardly speaks at all. Pay attention to

your words this next week. Try to meet in the middle.

PARENTING POINTERS - Laughter can be healing. Does

your family have any stories about family foibles that get

repeated at family gatherings? It doesn't matter that it's

embarrassing; it becomes family mythology.
