Messages from the Pastor

Holy Family’s

Giving Tree

Holy Family's Annual Giving Tree is now on display. Our giving tree provides our parish children with a Christmas dinner and presents to open Christmas morning when otherwise their tree may be empty due to unforeseen family situations. Tags for each family will be available before and after each mass until the tags are gone. Instructions will be given when tag is registered. May God bless you for your

continued generosity

ADVENT A time-honored tradition is the lighting of Advent candles to

remind us of Christ's message of hope, love, joy and peace. The

circular Advent wreath represents the eternity of the blessed Trinity,

without beginning or end. The light from the candle's flame

represents Jesus, the light of the world. As the candles burn,

consuming their wax, they visibly mark the passing of time to

Christmas Day. Let us help you prepare as we begin to celebrate

the day of Christ's birth!

We hope you will stop by the church office for your Advent Wreaths and Advent Candles.

Advent Wreath: $8.00

Set of 4 Advent Candles: $8:00

Both Advent Wreath and set of 4 Advent

Candles: $16.00

Cathedral, All Saints and Gate of Heaven Cemeteries are offer-ing families the option of purchasing Christmas decorations directly from our cemeteries. These decorations are individual-ly crafted by a local vendor. Cemetery personnel will place decorations on the graves/crypts of your loved ones beginning in early December. The deadline for ordering is Dec. 6, 2018. Your purchase helps support the ministry of our cemeteries. For more info and an on line order form log on to cdow.org/order-decorations or call the cemetery office at (302) 656 – 3323. Cathedral Cemetery will also be processing orders for Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Thank you for your support.

In the event of a severe storm and a State of Emergency is called, all parish offices are closed and all liturgies and programming are cancelled. In each case, the obligation to attend Sunday liturgy is dispensed. Mass intentions are, of course, rescheduled.

Before venturing out, it is always wise to call the parish office to check our open or closed status. Personal safety (yours and others on the road) is our main concern. Listen to WJBR, WSTW, WDEL OR WILM radio for announcements.
