Day 4: Outline and Suggested Order of Videos

1. Watch the “Welcome” video.

2. Click the audio link to pray with us a selected decade ofthe Rosary. Listen carefully to the introduction and theScripture passages, because they will help you understandthe day’s lessons better. Consider the following:

a. Why do you think Jesus did His first public miracle at awedding?

b. What happens at a wedding?

c. What does Mary do? What is Jesus’ response to Hismother? What is your response to your mother whenshe tells you that there is something you could do tohelp someone?

3. Watch the “Kingdom of David“ video and consider thefollowing questions:

a. How did David become king, and how did Solomonand all the others after David become king?

b. Why does Jesus pick everyone to be part of a family?Why does He pick people to be in one family insteadof in another?

c. What are some ways we can help our parents? Whatare ways we can sacrifice for them? How can we helpthem get to heaven? How can we help our siblingsget to heaven?



d. What are little sacrifices we can do to practice forbigger sacrifices?

4. Watch the “Craft” video and then make the craft.

5. Do the coloring and activity pages.

6. Watch the “Game” video and play the game

7. Watch the “Matrimony” video. Consider these questions:

a. Why was marriage the first human relationship that God made at the beginning of the world?

b. Why does God give us the special help of grace given in the sacrament of marriage?

c. Why do you think that a priest or deacon just witnesses a marriage, but the man and woman are the ones who actually “do the marrying”?

8. Have older children dig deeper by reading these Bible verses to identify some of the key lessons noted:

a. Mt 19:5-6 - leave father and mother, two become one flesh

b. Mk 5:32-33 – what God has joined together, no man can separate

c. Eph 5 22-32 – union of man and wife image of Christ and Church (i.e. Christ never divorces His Church)



d. Heb 13:4 – let marriage be honored among all

e. Genesis 2:18-24 – original marriage

9. Watch the snack video and make the snack

10. Pray the Angelus.

Day 4 Game: The Family Teamwork Game

Get a few boards, paper plates, or anything else you can stand on. The fewer objects you use, the harder it will be. Choose a place to start and a place you want to finish.

Have everyone stand on an object. Try to cram as many people on as you can. After everyone is on, the person at the end of the line passes another object to the person in the front, who in turn places it on the ground. Then, everyone moves onto the new object on the ground. This is repeated until you move to where you want to go.

If someone falls off, everyone has to go back to the beginning and start again. This game teaches teamwork because everyone needs to work together to get to the end.

Day 4 Snack: Rice Crispy Treats

¼ cup butter

5 ½ cups marshmallows

½ tsp vanilla

5 ½ cups crisp rice cereal

Melt marshmallows and butter in microwave or on stove top. Once they are melted, mix in crispy rice and vanilla. Mix until all the cereal is sticky. Pour into greased pan and press down. You might need to grease you hands. Put in fridge till hard.
