Holy of Holies

• 20 boards on south and north sides• 6 boards with 2 corner boards on

west end.• Total of 48 boards

– Tabernacle: 30 cubits long (45 ft), 10 cubits (15 ft) wide, and 10 cubits high

– The Holy Place: 20 cubits (30 ft) long and 10 cubits wide

– Holy of Holies: 10x10x10 cubits

• Boards made of shittim wood (acadia)– When the wood is treated, it never ages.

Likewise When we receives Christ in our heart we receive the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we have eternal redemption (life).

• The Tabernacle Proper, or the Holy Place, was “The Church in the Wilderness”. A type of His Church, a great body of believers

•Ephesians 2:  19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

•  20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

•  21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

•  22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

– Gold: His divine nature; wood: His human nature

• II Peter 1:4 - Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

• 7 facts necessary to the perfecting of the Church in the believer– The boards had to be cut down, severed,

separated and removed from their natural standing in the world. Likewisewe were once a sinner, unsaved and have been cut down by the conviction and been removed from the natural standing in the flesh and we now have our place in His church.

– The boards had to be prepared by Bezaleel under his directions. They were stripped, trimmed, and shaped before Moses (Jesus) could place them in their place to form a dwelling place for God. Likewise, we have been called by god, born again through Christ by the Holy Spirit, and then the Lord has added us into His dwelling place, His Church. •Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour

with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

– Each board had been put in its proper place by Moses (Jesus) Likewise: Jesus has called us and added unto His Church. Also He has put us in our proper places in His Church.•Exodus 40:18 - And Moses reared up the

tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.

• I Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

– Each board rested upon two sockets of pure silver. Silver represent redemption. Silver was the atonement money. Likewise we rest in the sacrifice and atonement of Christ. We have been purchased and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, the perfect Lamb. Like the board rested in the sockets our standing and foundation is in Jesus Christ.• I Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can

no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

– Each board has 2 tenons that protruded out from the bottom end of the board which are placed in two sockets. They are held and secured in the sockets. Likewise we are secured in our redemption in Christ through His blood. We hold on to his unchanging hands. • John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life;

and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.  30 I and my Father are one.

– Each board was overlaid with gold. Gold speaks of His deity. We are partakers of His divine nature. (II Peter:1:4) The boards were of equal measurement (10 cubits high, or 15 ft) This speaks of equality and responsibility. The believers are rested upon the same atonement. Therefore, the believers should work together in fellowship and love in His church.

– Each board was 1 ½ cubit wide. The half cubit speaks of the heart being revealed. 1/2 was used in brazen altar, shewbread table, ark of convenant, and mercy seat.

•Brazen altar – Man’s heart is sinful and in need of a Savior and God’s heart revealed His great mercy. God sent His Son to die for us because of His mercy John 3:16)

•Table of shewbread – God’s heart in the Living Bread, Jesus and our need to feast on the Living Bread

•Ark of covenant – God’s Heart in bringing usinto communion with Himself in His presence through His Son, Jesus Christ and our heart to keep His commandments for we are the partakers of His divine nature.

•Mercy Seat – God’s heart revealed in His mercy through Jesus Christ and our need to live for Him and proclaim God’s mercy through Christ to all

• The board stands upright close to another board. Likewise, we stand upright (righteous) working together side by side and in heart to heart fellowship with one another. We are His workmanship (Eph 2:10)

• We are His church– We are His testimony– We are the light as Jesus is the light. We

are filled with Holy Ghost as the lamp continue burning in the Holy Place.

– Our hearts reveal before all.

– The tabernacle rested on the sand. • John 17:14–21 14 I have given them thy word; and

the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

•  15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

•  16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

•  17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. •  18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have

I also sent them into the world. •  19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they

also might be sanctified through the truth. •  20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also

which shall believe on me through their word; •  21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in

me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
