The Channel of Peace Fraternity will be joining the
World Wide Franciscan Family in celebrating the
Transitus into eternity of our Seraphic Father, St.
Francis of Assisi. We are inviting you to join us in
this celebration. Channel of Peace Fraternity will be
celebrating at Holy Spirit Catholic Church Thursday,
October 3rd at 6:00 p.m. After the service we will
meet for fellowship and dinner at Raphael’s on Day-
ton Pike.
Who are the Secular Franciscans? Did you know
there is a Secular Franciscan Fraternity in our area?
The canonically established Secular Franciscan Order
was started by St. Francis of Assisi for the laity who
desire to live the Gospel in the manner of St. Francis
by means of his Rule. The local Channel of Peace
Fraternity consists of Catholics in our surrounding
area who have embraced a vocation to follow Christ
in the footsteps of St. Francis. If you are looking for
something more in your spiritual life, perhaps you are
being called to this vocation. The Channel of Peace
Fraternity invites anyone who is interested in learning
about the Secular Franciscan way of life to a “Come
and See” session on Sunday, October 13 at 3:00 p.m.
in the Parish Life Center at St. Jude Church, 930 Ash-
land Terrace, Chattanooga. Questions? Contact Gerri
Toeller at (423) 580-2004.
Our Lady of Fatima is inviting all of us to partici-
pate in a public square rosary rally event at St.
Stephen Church. It will be held on Saturday, October
12, 2019 at St. Stephen, 7111 Lee Highway at 12:00
p.m. (noon) for ONE hour. We will be offering a
rosary, one litany and a few prayers. Come join us to
share the Promise of Fatima and show Her our love
and dedication. A few rosaries will be available.
