Our Mission

Anointing of the Sick: 1st Friday of each month after 9AM Mass in English and after 6PM Mass in Vietnamese. In case of serious illness or emergency, please contact the Parish Office.

Reconciliation: Saturday from 8am - 8:30am. Wednesday from 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Baptism: English on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Vietnamese on the 3rd Saturday of each month. For more information on preparation class, please contact the Parish Office at (714) 963-1811.

Marriage: Contact the Parish at least six months prior to the proposed date.

Eucharistic Adoration: Monday - Friday: After 6:30am to 8:45am. Private Prayer 9am to 5pm. 24-Hour Adoration every Friday and on the 4th of each month following the 9:00am Mass.

bâÜ ctÜ|á{ _|yx É y cÜtçxÜ SUNDAY’S REFLECTION: Fulfillment It is interesting that during the Easter season, when we do not hear a reading from the Old Testa-ment, it becomes so important. This is particularly true today. Peter’s speech begins with a prayer formu-la familiar to Jews: “The God of Abraham . . .” (Acts 3:13). It likewise contains the potent phrases “Holy and Righteous One” and “mouth of all the proph-ets” (3:14, 18). Peter was stating in no uncertain terms that the law, psalms, and prophets had been fulfilled in Christ. This is reinforced by Jesus himself in the Gospel passage, when he states that everything in the scriptures (to the early Christians “the scriptures” were what we call the Old Testament) had to be ful-filled. Above all, Jesus and Peter both emphasize that we are witnesses to all of this, and are sent forth to bear witness to it in the world. The Latin Missa, from which our word “Mass” comes, means “sent” (as in “mission”). As we leave Mass today, let us remember to be witnesses to all that has been fulfilled in the ris-en Christ.

Respect Life Ministry will be sponsoring the Mother’s Day Rose Sale for Life on Mother's Day, May 8-9. The rose sale supports the baby saving work of the Life Centers of Orange County, providing counseling, referral services, and a variety of baby and children needs for mothers and families in crisis pregnancies. Demand has been great for this all volunteer staff, and we welcome your support to help bring babies to term, or just provide for family life essentials.

1st Friday: SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Prayers follow the 9:00AM Mass every First Friday. Twelve promises are given to those who honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus after nine consecutive months of Mass, Communion, and Confession (eight days before or after) every First Friday of the month.

1st Saturday: IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY: Prayers and the Fatima Rosary begin at 8:10AM every First Saturday to honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

There are special promises attached after five consecutive months of Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, and 15 minutes meditation on its mysteries.

GREAT NEWS!!!! Based on the new CDC guidance, our Bishop is now allowing us to do the following for the celebration of Masses and other sacraments: • Distance between people from different

households reduced to 3 feet. • Parishes no longer need to do frequent cleaning

pews/chairs between Masses. • There would be no cap to the number of people

from different households. • Parishioners must continue to wear facemask at

all time during Mass. • All Ministries will be welcomed back once

KEEPING SUNDAY - ALL DAY As we take time each week to celebrate the Paschal Mystery in the Eucharist and to rest from the burdens of our daily lives, we remind ourselves that we are made in the image and likeness of God who “rested on the seventh day from all the work he had undertaken” (Gn 2:2).

To celebrate the Lord’s Day more fully, consider trying the following: ♦ Don’t use Sunday as your catch-all day for errands and household chores. ♦ Share a family meal after Mass. Have the whole family join in the preparation and cleanup. ♦ Go for a walk or bike ride and give thanks to God for the beauty of nature. ♦ Spend time reading the Bible or a spiritual book. ♦ Pray the Rosary or the Liturgy of the Hours, alone or with others. ♦ Visit parishioners and others who are homebound. ♦ Read Bible stories to your children. ♦ Turn off your gadgets and enjoy the silence.
