HAPPY RETIREMENT TED!
Congratulations and best wishes to Ted
Leniszewski on the occasion of his retirement on June 30, as Pastoral Assistant for Administration and Facilities Manager after thirteen years of service. On behalf of our parish family, I express heartfelt gratitude to Ted for his dedication, faithfulness, broad experience and expertise that have supported the life of our parish family, not only in the many details of administering a parish the size of Holy Trinity, but also in maintaining our parish plant and buildings. Ted has always been a “hands on, can do” person; no job was too small or too big for him to tackle!
I also want to thank his wife, Elaine, for sharing
him with us over these many years. As he moves into the next chapter of his life, may God’s blessings be with him and his family. May he have abundant time to spend with them, the opportunity to share and make cherished memories that they will remember for a lifetime, and yes, to do the things that are still on his bucket list! God speed Ted. Know that we will miss you but are glad that you will remain a part of our parish family.
If you are new to Holy Trinity parish, we warmly welcome you.
Registration forms are available at the parish office during the week.

EVERYDAY STEWARDSHIP - God Is Love
I was recently at a Catholic conference and had a conversa-
"on with someone living in the thick of Hollywood culture.
He was Catholic and spoke of how hard it was to live out his
faith amid tremendous tempta"on and nega"vity toward re-
ligion. He spoke about how going to daily Mass helped to
keep him centered and stay strong in his faith. He was a great
witness to living out one’s faith in the face of disbelief.
One thing that he told me stood out above all the rest. He
spoke of his engagement to his fiancé and how important it
was to him that God was a major part of their rela"onship
and their lives as individuals as well. He told me he said
something to her like, “If you don’t love Jesus more than you
love me, this is never going to work.” What an amazing and
truly moving witness!
Songs and books are wri6en about the intense longing one
human being can have for another. We can describe another
as meaning everything to us. We speak of wan"ng to offer
our complete selves to our beloved. However, true love is
about more than wan"ng to be with that person. It is about
wan"ng that person to know a love even greater than theirs:
the love of God. No love can last without God. My Hollywood
friend knew this to be the case. He showed his true love for
his wife-to-be by sharing more than himself — he shared the
very One who created love.
— Tracy Earl Welliver, MTS ©LPi Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Both the first reading and the Gospel today speak of
hospitality and welcome. Our ministers of hospitality
are a most visible example of using one’s time and talents
to welcome the people of God. But the Gospel assures us
that all who give even just “a cup of cold water” to one of
His lowliest ones will be rewarded.
