STEWARDSHIP MESSAGE
1st. Sunday of Lent: ”I have now brought you the
first fruits of the products of the soil which you, O
Lord, have given to me.” (Deuteronomy 26: 10)
This line from the Old Testament offers two chal-
lenges. First, do you give to God from your “first
fruits,” the best that you have to offer, or do you
give from what is leftover? Second, do you re-
member that everything you have has been given
to you by God? Ask God for a grateful and gen-
erous heart everyday.

YEAR OF MERCY
SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY
We continue with our various Spiritual Works of
Mercy.
To pray for the living and the
dead. Sharing in the communion
of saints demands that we pray for
everyone. This is a great means
of spreading the fires of love to
others, whether in this world or in
purgatory. Prayers for the dead at a cemetery
carry special graces.

prayerfully support the work of Planning Tomor-
row’s Parishes, a grassroots planning process that
aims to enhance the vibrancy of future parish life.

home and around the world? Visit crsricebowl.org

PRO-LIFE CORNER
Ronald Reagan once said: “If we ever forget that
we are ‘One nation, under God’, then we will be one
nation gone under.” Our nation is fast going under
when we allow Planned Parenthood to continue its
atrocities against the unborn.
