I will be loyal to the United Methodist Church by my prayers,

my presence, my gifts, my service and my witness.

From The Pastor’s Desk

Proverbs 31:10-31 10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far

more than rubies….27 She watches over the affairs of her

household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her

children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he

praises her: 29 "Many women do noble things, but you surpass

them all." 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a

woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 31 Give her the

reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at

the city gate.

Proverbs 31 gives us a portrait of a woman of excellence. A

woman of excellence has many good qualities. She can be

trusted, is a hard worker, strong, generous to the poor, always

prepared, wise and the list could go on and on. In verse 28a

Solomon writes, her children arise and call her blessed.

Mothers give to their children constantly and expect very little

in return. A simple “I love you,” a heartfelt “thank you for all

you have done for me” means a lot.

Thank you mom for making me do my homework when I

would rather be outside playing. Thank you for taking me to

Church when I wanted to stay home. Thank you for staying

up with me all night when I was sick. Thank you for all of the

sacrifices you made to make me who I am today.

Rise up and bless your mothers. My mother has gone on to

her reward. I cannot tell her how much I love her this

Mother’s Day and how much I miss her but I know that I will

see her again in Glory. Let your mother know that all of her

hard work love and sacrifices are greatly appreciated.

Grace and Peace,

Reverend Jeff Lambert

First Sunday/February, April, June, August, October and December for

the Crossroads service. Reverend Jeff will be doing a Children’s time

every Sunday. When the Crossroads Service has communion the

children will be brought in to the worship service where they will have

communion and then return to Children’s Church. If you prefer your
