Intensive Family Preservation and Reunification
Services is based on an evidence-based program
that focuses on time-limited, intensive and home-
based services designed to stabilize and
strengthen families. Intensive services are
family-focused, child-centered, goal-oriented, and
provide in-home skill-building and after-care
linkage. Intensive Services success in 2008 for
Tippecanoe County was 90% for preservation,
which preserved 96 children who were likely to be
removed. This compared with traditional ser-vices successes range between 20% to 30%.
