PREREQUISITESA Statement of Attainment for HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is required in order for students to be awarded a Statement of Attainment.
Otherwise, a Statement of Completion will be issued upon successful completion of this course.
YOUR OPTIONSCompetency Training offers both CPR and nationally recognised Low Voltage Rescue training (UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel). These courses can be run in succession or as standalone courses. Delivery of both courses in succession requires a full day.

WHAT THIS COURSE DELIVERSThis course covers the following topics:
• Hazard identification
• Risk management
• Emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, fire blankets)
• Low voltage rescue procedures
• Low voltage rescue kit
Students must demonstrate a simulated rescue scenario using the rescue kit and fire blanket.
In accordance with Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) guidelines, Competency Training recommends that low voltage rescue training is refreshed every 12 months.
WHO SHOULD ATTENDQualified tradespeople, senior tradespeople and electrical engineers involved with operating low voltage electrical equipment.

Students are involved in a range of practical activities throughout the training, including demonstration of a simulated rescue from a live low voltage panel, using a fire blanket to extinguish flames on an electric shock victim and administering CPR to the unconscious victim.
