Home Group BrochureTRANSCRIPT
Who?
YOU! Anyone looking for connection, relationship, spiritual growth.
Why Home Groups?
Our primary purpose is to foster signifi-cant Christ-centered relationships.
How do we achieve this purpose?
By velcroing people to two things they need most when faced with a need-to-know or need-to-grow situation: the Bible and Christian friends.
What is my commitment?
While there are no formal attendance requirements, consistent attendance promotes group solidarity and cohe-siveness. Each year we break the Home Groups into three segments (10 weeks each).
Session 1: Mid-September to Christmas
Session 2: New Years to Easter

God has given each of you a gift from
His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use
them well to serve one another.
I Peter 4:10
So many of the things God desires for us are best accomplished in a smallgroup. Look at just a few of these commands from God’s Word:
Love one another. (John 13:14; 34-35)
Be devoted to one another. (Romans 12:10)
Honor one another above your-self. (Romans 12:10)
Accept one another as Christ accepts us. (Romans 15:7)
Serve one another in love. (Galatians 6:2, Colossians 3:13)
Be patient with one another. (Ephesians 4:2)
Forgive each other. (Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:13)
Teach and admonish one an-other. (Colossians 3:16)
Encourage one another. (1 Thes. 4:18, 5:11; Heb. 10:25)
Build each other up. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Confess your sins to one another. (James 5:16)
Pray for one another. (James 5:16)
Offer hospitality to one another. (1 Peter 4:9)
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Today’s culture is completely “high tech and low touch.” It promotes individualism over community. Privacy and seclu-sion are valued over connection. However, God didn’t design us to live our lives alone. He created
us for relationship with Him and with others. We are made to belong and to be a part of a com-munity, a group of people living life together. That’s why we create Gateway Home Groups.
Gateway Home Groups are all about people. We exist to encourage people live life together, grow together and serve God together. Our Home Groups provide people with intimate family environments where ministry flows from relational connections. Through Gateway Home Groups individuals regularly gather outside of our Sunday morning services in small groups that engage in a lifestyle of authentic community and spiritual growth.
Because of the solid relationships built in Home Groups, our church body can continue to grow. Through our Sunday Celebration Services we remain “large enough” to make a difference in this valley. Through our weekly Home Groups, we remain “small enough” to care.
Wherever you are in your life journey, there’s a place for you in a Home Group! How can I get connected? Contact us through the website, e-mail, or call the church office.
