Home Learning Guidance Week beginning 22/6/20 Year 2 This is a guidance document of suggested activities which could be completed at home to support home learning whilst your child is not in school. Please refer to our school website and the curriculum pages for specific information for each subject on learning outcomes related to age related year group expectations. The activities are only a guide for home learning and could be adapted or extended. All children have access to online learning. If you have any questions about log ins, please email the school. Reading Suggested activities: Independent reading – All children should read daily at home either independently or with an adult, use home reading books. Hearing a story and the language is extremely beneficial. Share any favourite books you have at home. Purple Mash reading activities – Serial Mash – Diamonds –Charlie and the Campervan - read a chapter daily and complete online activities for each chapter. Maths Suggested activities: KIRFS – Refer to, learn practise the Key Instant Recall Facts Times Tables Rockstars – Practise daily White Rose – length worksheets – attached BBC Bitesize – data activities Data sheet – counting fruit – and a challenge sheet! Writing Handwriting – Practise your handwriting – Our handwriting guidance on letter formation is available on the website.
