Have your child trace numbers on the April calendar or for those that don’t need help, have them write the numbers on the calendar.

Print and after your child reads one book, have them color a fish on the reading log. After they have completed the entire page, offer a reward- candy, sticker, game, etc.

In a plastic cup, fill halfway with crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers. Top it with vanilla pudding that has been tinted with blue food coloring. Add teddy grahams or Swedish fish.

Print the booklet and staple together. Have your child read the predictable text that includes spring vocabulary words. Use throughout the entire month!

Print out a BINGO card and give to your child. Print out another card for you to read. Use jelly beans, stickers, poker chips, etc. to cover the squares.

Print the blank shell on cardstock and cut out. Have your child decorate the shell. They can make a pattern, draw add more eggs, paint, or add tissue paper, etc.

Read the poem to your child using hand movements. Re-read the poem again and have them circle the sight words “in” “the” and “go”.

Short booklet to help students learn the high frequency word “is.” Have your child write the word “is” on the blank line in the story.

Have your child count the fish in each set, add the fish, and write the answers.

Print the ocean animal cards and have your child color them. Fold the “Ocean Animals” paper in half and staple both sides to make a pocket and have your child put the animal cards inside.
