Mission Statement
The Mission of Oakland Primary School is to educate the “whole
child”.
Vision Statement
Oakland Primary School is to provide an appropriate educational
experience that maximizes the potential of every child.
Strategies
We will effectively unite the efforts of our staff, students, parents
and community in assisting our students to successfully meet or
exceed the state, district and school’s academic standards.
1. Implement an instructional program that meets the
needs of all primary students.
2. Implement an assessment program that measures
academic achievement in pre-kindergarten
through first grade.
3. Implement a professional development program that
meets the needs of the teachers.
4. Recruit and retain a highly qualified workforce.
5. Provide facilities that support high quality,
developmentally appropriate, early childhood
classrooms both environmentally and
instructionally.
Assessments
Kindergarten and first grade students continue to be assessed using
the DIBEL’S Universal Screening Process. They are further
