Green Challenge You are going to use capital letters for the days of the week, eg, Saturday 1)sunday 2)tuesday 3)The pirates set sail on thursday 4)On wednesday, they found the gold. 5)They all sat on the beach on monday. 6)The war began on friday. Now write a sentence of your own for each day of the week. Upload your finished work with your adjectives to Class Dojo. Yellow Challenge You are going to use apostrophes to show who owns an item. Remember to place an ‘ eg Sarah’s book 1) Johns ship 2) The captains gold 3) Roberts sword had gone missing. 4) It was all written in Mr Smees log. 5) The crocodile had eaten Captain Hooks hand. Now write 10 of your own sentences using apostrophes. What happens if the word needing an apostrophe ends in an s? Write a quiz for a family member testing them on which is the correct use of an apostrophe for possession. Write 6 questions. Upload your finished work with your adjectives to Class Dojo. Identify the clauses. 1)If they could swim, they’d be safe. 2)Since it’s nightfall, the pirates wouldn’t find them. 3)After they had looked, they knew the gold was gone. 4)As the sword struck, he screamed in pain. Move the subordinating clauses to the front. 5)The captain was angry because they’d escaped. 6)The ship sank as water entered. Write 5 sentences. Upload your finished work to Class Dojo.
