1 INTRODUCTION
A scientific paper is part of a publication that presents and discusses ideas, methods,
techniques, processes and results in different areas of knowledge, according to NBR6022. The
introduction should present an overview of the paper, outlining the research subject and problem
being addressed, as well as its goal(s).
For section titles, such as the INTRODUCTION, use font Times New Roman 14, bold,
align left, UPPERCASE. The body text must be written in Times New Roman 12 Normal, line
spacing 1.5 with justified text and the following margins: right 3cm, left 2cm, top 3cm and
bottom 2cm. The total number of pages must be between 12 and 20 pages, not including
references.
2 DEVELOPMENT
Development must display the subject at issue orderly and thoroughly. It must present the
theoretical framework that supports its ideas, research or experience. It is divided into sections
and subsections, according to NBR6024.
2.1 SECONDARY SECTION
Figures, tables or charts must have a sequential number in Arabic numerals indicated at
the top, preceded by the word Figure/Chart/Table.
2.1.1 TERTIARY SECTION
After presenting the details of the type of illustration such as frame, table, figure, etc., use
a full title to indicate the nature and scope of its content. The source should be placed just below
of the figure to indicate the credibility of the data and / or information, being preceded by the
word Source.

It is recommended to use the JPG format for images with a minimum resolution of
300dpi. Images must have title and source as well as charts and tables.

For foreign words in the text, use italics.
Mathematical equations may be included as images if they are not inserted in the text,
being in this case registered in the mathematical notation of the word processor software itself.
For long quotations (more than 3 lines), use 4cm of indent level, justified alignment, font
Times New Roman 10 Normal, with 1.0 line spacing, properly referenced.
3 FINAL REMARKS
Final part of the paper, which presents conclusions and findings related to its goals and
hypothesis.

List the sources referred in the text according to NBR6023 (ABNT) – it is also allowed to use the APA, provided you opt for the use of a single standard. References should be listed alphabetically. Use Times New Roman 10, normal, align
