I love decorating a seasonal table—whether it's simple or ornate, thevisual appeal comforts me. Centerpieces don't always have to go on adining or kitchen table, you can place them on your coffee table, halltable or even your mantel.
Here's some inspiration for you:Want an easy way to add a pop of colour to your table?
This colourful autumnwreath display is a greataddition to the alreadypopular hurricane vase.
You can enjoy this look, not just for Thanksgiving but, for an everydaylook through fall.
The hurricane vase makes this a safer alternative than tapered candles foryour table display; place the leaves outside the vase and tucked justbelow and sides of base plate to ensure no melted wax touches theleaves.With the temperatures dropping, texture and rich jewel tonesreplace showy blooms and vibrant colours as the mainstays of autumnaccessorizing. Update your rooms with dazzling foliage, seasonal pump-kins and fruits, textured fabrics, patterns and the warm colours of theseason.

Colourful Autumn VignetteExhibit freshly cut foliage in vintage bottles. Maple leaves stay fresh forup to three weeks. Fill bottles with tepid water, and then cut the bottomof the branches on an angle. To help them take in water, use a sharp knifeto slice up the middle of each branch about an inch. Replace the waterwhen it becomes murky.

Want a neutral but warm look for the bedroom?Cosy up bedrooms with toasty-warm wool blankets, sumptuous velvetpillows and striped bedding in brown shades from beige to chocolate.Chamomile-coloured walls ensure a sunny feel during grey winter daysand are neutral enough to work with most decorating schemes. Add alittle life with a quirky gooseberry wreath and a small pitcher ofwildflowers bedside.
Here’s a “do it yourself” leaf display.Press pretty fall leaves and display them in vintage frames of varioussizes. Unify different frames by painting them white or gold, and thenwrap any existing mats with linen in earthy neutral tones. (Wrap the linensnugly around the mats and secure at back with glue or double-sidedtape. Then, cut an X from corner to corner across the picture openingand fold the resulting triangles of fabric back and affix to the mat.)
