How to make Mass Changes to Students Homeroom, Homeroom Teachers, Counselor,

Locker, and AM/PM Bus…

NOTICE:

It is very important that you MASS update the Homeroom Teacher field in WVEIS every year at the beginning of the school year. This is a field that DOES NOT update every summer when promotions

happen. So it will retain the previous years Homeroom Teacher name for every student if not updated.

The Homeroom Teacher field is used by most of the third party applications like Renaissance Learning, STAR, AR, AM, Primero, etc.

So if you notice at the beginning of the school year that non of your classes are correct in these third party applications then the likely cause is because the Homeroom Teacher field has not been mass

updated for all the students.

This particular update is the School’s Responsibility. So either the Principal or their designated person at the school should make this

update.

Enter the menu number for the “Student Management System Main Menu”.. Make sure you are choosing the correct Fiscal Year!

Mine is Option # 8 yours will be different…

Choose option # 1 for Student Records(Add-On Items)

Place number 1-4 beside the fields that you wish to update.. In this example I want to updates the Homeroom and Homeroom Teacher fields so I

place 1 beside Homeroom and 2 beside Homeroom Teacher.. I could place 3 & 4 beside two other options if I needed to update more

fields…

#3. The “+” means you can page down for more

students

#1. When you have finished updating all of your students, then press “Enter” on your keyboard to

save the changes

#2. Once you are finished using this Program and have updated all of your students, you can press “F3” on your keyboard to exit the program
