leaves the dealership, the computer keeps a record of this by employees entering in the data.
A suggested re-order stock sheet is printed on the eve of the delivery day
The manager sends this data on to the Distribution Center

Distribution Centers set days to deliver to each Honda dealership
Stock is ordered once a week
Lead TimeLead Time
Stock is ordered by 4pm of the eve of the deliver date.
Stock order is received by distribution center
Stock order is put together and loaded on truck that night
Truck leaves distribution center with 4-5 Honda dealership stock orders
Stock is delivered to dealership same day

Alpharetta receives and loads stock order on the truck
Truck leaves Alpharetta Friday morning and gets to Nashville, its 2nd to last stop of the day, by 5 p.m.

Demand – anytime a customer requests a part whether it is stocked or not.

Customers include: Honda mechanics, walk-in customers, body shops, individual mechanic businesses, and other Honda dealerships

Each Honda Dealership has trucks to deliver parts to local businesses
Dealerships have sales counters for walk-in customers
Honda will ship deliveries to any business across the country
FedEx is the main provider for out of town deliveries

If a part is ordered that the dealership does not keep in stock it can be overnighted or delivered in 2 days from a distribution center depending on the customer’s needs.
