It is hard to believe: when Jarltech star-ted 20 years ago, it was unthinkable that in 2012 every fifth Jarltech employee would speak fluent Chinese. But don’t worry, no one expects you to, because as always, you continue to conduct your business with your current partners. The language trend is explained by the founding of the corporate branch »Jarltech China«. With this new com-pany, which employs more than 40 people at 10 locations, the successful Jarltech model continues its growth in Asia. This is exactly the reason why Jarltech stays true to its prin-ciples: fast service and close relationships to

the customers. The larger our global reach becomes, the more important our presence and operation on-site is.

This is also true in Europe. With the French distributor Accuscan, an additional success-ful company has joined the Jarltech Group. MARkETNEWSK-4: The new miniature cash drawer from Metapace The brand name vendor Metapace presents the K-4, its newest cash drawer, a miniature cash drawer that has been specially designed for cramped checkouts. With measurements of a mere 245 x 320 x 105 mm, it fits anywhere. Its special soft-opening mechanism ensures that the drawer opens quietly, plus it offers the user a comfortable amount of resistance when closing. Inside there are three coin compartments and three bank note compartments that accom-modate earnings and change of various cur-rencies. The coin compartments offer additio-nal flexibility – simply adjust the dividers for the size needed. The integrated 3-position lock

protects earnings from unauthorised access, plus ensures for secure locking and manual emergency opening.

Connecting the Meta-pace K-4 is done easily via

the 24 V standard connection of a POS printer. The corresponding 2-m cable is included in the delivery. Four plastic feet guarantee that the drawer stays put on the countertop or underneath. Its smooth surface offers the possibility of pla-cing a POS system or peripheral device, such as a monitor or receipt printer, on top of it.

See how big small can be. The new Metapace T-4 compact receipt printer Metapace announces the launch of its new direct thermal printer, the T-4. With this receipt printer, the brand name vendor introduces the first compact entry-level model of the series, for 58 mm wide media. The T-4 belongs to the Metapace »out-of-the-box« POS printers, which are known for their excellent value. With compact dimensions of 131 x 195 x 124 mm, it easily meets the challenges of numerous users who are struggling for space at the checkout. Thanks to its small footprint, it fits onto nearly any countertop checkout in retail

and hospitality, and still leaves enough room for additional peripherals.

The printer’s carefully checked brand name components are relia-ble and require very little maintenance. The long-life auto cutter makes up to one million cuts; the print head is construed for 50 km of operation. With a resolution of 8 dots/mm (203 dpi), the T-4 also prints good quality graphics, logos and images.

Metapace supports minimum product trai-ning with its intuitive user concept. Coloured LEDs provide constant information about the printer’s status.

New version of the TM-C3400 now available Epson developed its inkjet printer TM-C3400BK for all applications in which top-quality labels, signs and wristbands are required, but not colour. It prints text, logos, images and common barcode standards in black or detailed greys-cale. Users have a choice of most varied media types with widths from 30 to 112 mm. The TM-C3400BK is ideal for quick imprinting of pre-fabricated labels directly on-site – in large or small volumes and completely according to current needs.

Epson DURABrite ink is top-quality: it is water-proof, resists many cleansers, and is long-

wearing (according to its storage). This also allows for outdoor operation, or in direct sun-light. Just like the TM-C3400, all control ele-ments of the TM-C3400BK are located on the front side of the printer. This practical feature enables it to be mounted under the counter or on a shelf. For simple integration, there are USB and Ethernet connection options availa-ble. The power supply is already integrated.
