Charity Sales Fundraising Competition

• Stepping into its 9th year, it is the biggest annual fundraising event of HKRC

• In 2010, a new record high of HK$3.2 million donation generated

• Schools purchase over 4,100 Red CrossTwin Bear

• All proceeds raised will be used to support & sustain the humanitarian works of HKRC

• Theme: “Love to Share, Share to Love!” • The Campaign aims at encouraging students not

only to care and share love to their loved ones, but also extend the love to the vulnerable.

• After purchasing the Red CrossBear Towel, students may re-gift the underprivileged children worldwide via HKRC.

• Last year, schools donated 1,140 Red CrossTwin Bears.

School Charity Sales • HKRC will provide posters, order form, notice

samples of Red CrossBear Towels (both red and black towel set) and Red CrossBear Warmer

• Enrolment period: from now on – 17th Oct, 2011• Charity Sales period:17th Oct – 30th Nov, 2011• School needn’t stock up with items and only need

to fill in the order form, HKRC will deliver items according to the quantity ordered.

• Items will be delivered before 16th Dec, 2011. • (Pls. submit the order at earliest convenience to

avoid any delay)

Role of School

• Encourage Students to purchase Red CrossBear Towel and Red CrossBear Warmer

• Promotion & Charity Sales, mobilize student to assist the sales & train their leadership skills at the same time

• Schools can support via different promotion channels, like appealing at school assemblies, lunch breaks, parent’s association and through school notices, etc

• If school holding charity sales counters, this could count into the service hours of member

• “Order Form” – Record each order & donations by computer

• Collect all proceeds and send to HKRC by cheque or pay-in-slips together with the order form by post and email

• Distribute items and donation receipts to students

Acknowledgement • All the school which join Pass-it-On 2011 Charity

Sales Competition will be announced in Facebook and Website

• Schools who purchase 50pcs or above of charity sales item OR rasied over HK$5,000 will be awarded as “Loving School”

• Winning schools will be acknowledged in a local newspaper

• Winning schools will be invited to the Pass-it-On Award Presentation Ceremony to be held in late February 2012

• Long-term Support Award: Schools support for 3 consecutive years
