Educational goalsTo provide participants with the latest scientific informationon indications, techniques and complications related todifferent surgical approaches to craniovertebral junctionand cervical spine. With only two surgeons per station,hands-on cadaver sessions will focus on the intricateanatomy of cervical pedicles, uncinate process, nerve roots,vertebral artery, foramina and their relationships.Participants will have the opportunity to perform anteriorand posterior approaches, to learn microsurgical tips andtricks and techniques for devices implantantion. The latesttechnology including microscopes, high-speed drills andneuronavigation for CT-scanned specimens will be available.

Le sessioni teoriche-pratiche su cadavere hands-on, con due partecipanti per ciascuna postazione, saranno incentratesull’acquisizione di competenze relativamente all’anatomia chirurgicadella colonna vertebrale cervicale e, in particolare, dei peduncolicervicali, dei processi uncinati, delle radici nervose e dell’arteriavertebrale, dei forami di coniugazione e dei rispettivi rapportianatomici.I partecipanti saranno seguiti nelle esercitazioni pratichedi dissezione step-by-step per i diversi approcci chirurgici anteriorie posteriori al rachide cervicale e alla giunzione cranio-vertebrale.Saranno inoltre eseguite esercitazioni pratiche che prevedonol’impianto di diversi sistemi di artrodesi e osteosintesi anteriore eposteriore. Le postazioni di dissezione sono dotate delle più recentitecnologie intraoperatorie: microscopio, microtrapani ad altavelocità e neuronavigazione.
