What’s New This Week (pg. 2-4) _______________________________________________________________________________________________

This is a unique way for us to raise money for our school while making an impact in our community. During this fundraiser, students ask friends and family for donations via the online Raise Craze platform while paying it forward serving others. What a great way for us to teach our students the importance of kindness and gratitude while raising much needed funds. Students will spend time serving, not selling!

Registration Link: my.raisecraze.com/AJ77ZF4

1. Enter your student’s name Select at least 3 Acts of Kindness 2. Enter 5-10 email addresses of potential supporters. 3. Raise Craze will send all emails, reminders and thank you notes. Emails will never be shared with third

parties or used for marketing. 4. Have fun serving others! Be sure to check off your completed AOK on your dashboard

At A Glance: Dates: November 3rd- November 17th

Our Goal: $60,000 & 3,000 Acts of Kindness

Mr. Neumeyer will get SLIMED LIVE if we hit our dollar amount goal Pastor Michael & Pastor Chad will be turned into an ICE CREAM SUNDAE if we hit our AOK goal

Every student can participate in Raise Craze by completing Acts of Kindness (AOK) so we’re aiming for 100% participation. As a little encouragement, prizes and incentives can be earned by students AND teachers! There are 6 Prizes per grade group (Preschool, K-2, 3-5, 6-8). Students will earn one (1) raffle ticket per $100 they raise. See the attached flyers for prizes!

Hashtag any AOK shared on social media with #ChargerKindness! We are excited to see all of the ways our students choose to serve others!

P.S. For daily updates, follow us on social media and be sure to check out the Leaderboard at https://my.raisecraze.com/leaderboard/for/AJ77ZF4/

BOOK FAIR – Friday – Sunday, November 19th-21st

At Barnes & Noble: 14165 Hall Rd. Shelby Twp. (on Hall Rd between Hayes & Schoenherr)

The Immanuel Book Fair at Barnes & Noble is always a great weekend for our school. We get to “take over” Barnes & Noble for the weekend with fun activities while raising money for our library and getting a head start on Christmas shopping!

Special Readers – A schedule will be sent out soon with a list of special readers on Saturday (teacher, pastors, and more). Bring the kids to listen to their teacher read one of their favorite books!

Pajama Time - Bring the kids dressed in their PJs at 6:00 pm on Saturday for some bedtime stories read by our preschool and K-2 teachers.

Donate a Book for Your Child’s Classroom – Stop in and check your child’s teacher basket for a wishlist of teacher books for your child’s classroom.

Support our Library – Our Immanuel library receives a percentage of all purchases that use our Immanuel Book Fair ID #12614269 on any purchases at any Barnes & Noble from November 19th-28th.

In store Shopping – Be sure to share the voucher with our Immanuel Book Fair ID #12614269 at ANY Barnes & Noble location. If shopping at another store location is more convenient, or you have friends or family that live in another area, our school can still get credit for those purchases! Just remember to turn the voucher in to the cashier at the time of purchase.

Cafe item purchases during the Immanuel Lutheran School Book Fair at Barnes & Noble benefit our school, too.! While you're shopping at the Book Fair, be sure to take a break in the cafe. Mention to the server that you're with Immanuel or show your voucher and your beverage and snack purchases will help our school!

Online Shopping - You can also shop on-line at bn.com/bookfairs using our special Book Fair ID number #12614269

B & N Gift Card Give Away – All students who attend the Book Fair at Barnes & Noble that weekend can sign up for a chance to win a Barnes & Noble gift card of $100, $50, or $25. We’ll announce the winners at school the week after the Book Fair.

Page 4: HOPE: In All Things

Class Attendance Award - Also, a Barnes & Noble gift card will go to the teacher who has the most students attend the Book Fair. Make sure to check in at the Welcome Table to be eligible.

LUNCH AND BAGEL ORDERING UPDATES Lunch : All students are able to purchase a lunch if they forget theirs at home. We will never let a student go without a lunch. Depending on what is available that day, the student may be able to have the entrée, sandwich, or salad. It just will depend on what Mrs. Rizzo has enough of to serve. Bagels : We are opening up ordering for bagel day in November, again, as many missed the deadline to order. The day in FACTS that you’ll see the bagel order is the Sunday BEFORE the actual bagel day. We have also opened up the December date in FACTS as well so you can order that while ordering the one for November. Please place you November bagel order by Monday 11/8 at 8:00am.

COVID INFORMATION We continue to follow the Macomb County Health Department (MCHD) guidance and protocols for schools. We send out emails when students or staff have confirmed COVID cases and were in the school setting 48 hours prior to symptoms began or testing took place. For more information about COVID information for schools, see the MCHD website – COVID-19 Resources for Schools.

SPORTS FEE FOR FALL ATHLETES Our fall athletes were incorrectly invoiced a $50 sports fee rather than the $60 sports fee. To correct that, we will be invoicing an additional $10 through FACTS in 11/1 invoice cycle. We apologize for the error.
