complete with palm leaves!
A HUUUUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped and
donated to our annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Even with a damp, cloudy day, we had a wonderful time with all of
the families who came. The Board of Evangelism
has a request, if you are out shopping the next few days.
All of the Easter baskets and stuffed animals go on clearance. We
could use some of each for next year to share with the kids who
come. As you pick some up, feel free to drop them off in the
Friendship Room. Thank you!!

Wednesday Services and Bible
Study will resume at 6pm on April
11th.
Please take some time to review the Bible readings below, they
will be the subject of next week’s sermon.
April 8th- (FIRST LESSON) – Acts 4. During the Easter Season the Old
Testament Readings are replaced by First Lessons
from the Book of Acts, telling of the beginnings of
the Church. This Lesson describes the fellowship of
new Christians in Jerusalem – their active love and
concern for each other – and introduces us to
Barnabas, the "Son of Encouragement". The
example of the first Christians surely encourages us
to love and good deeds.
(EPISTLE) – 1 John 1 & 2. A semicontinuous reading of John's
First Letter will supply the Epistle for next week and
lead us through the Easter Season. John's opening
chapters invite us to enjoy fellowship with the Father
and with Jesus as we walk in the light of his saving
love for all.
(HOLY GOSPEL) – John 20. The story of doubting Thomas is
the traditional Holy Gospel for the Second Sunday
of Easter. We, who live in a science-oriented world
that always looks for proof, have to be happy that
Thomas was a questioner, and that all his questions
were fully answered.
“A Gift For You”
There is a beautiful hand crafted box on the table by the front door, it contains a “GIFT” for you: Addressed cards for each of our shut-in
family members. You have the opportunity to give a gift - a Blessing! By adding a few words of friendly encouragement and a stamp.
These cards are always available, including Birthday cards. Choose a new name each month or adopt more than one shut in each month.
“You be the Gift!” If you have any questions please call
Judy Woolard at 636-543-3110.
