WHAT’S IN YOUR BACKYARD? PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION ‐ Junior Landcare are running a compe on to get students outside and looking at our environment. Students can take a photo of something important to them in their garden/ park/balcony/school and write a brief reason why (25 words or less). There are four different categories that you can enter your photos in:‐ Biodiversity – birds, bees, insects, flowers, trees and

more! Food produc on – your food garden may include

vegetables, fruit and herbs. Indigenous perspec ves – bush tucker gardens. Waste management – worm farm, compost, recycling

bins. If this is something you are interested in, then get snapping!! We will submit all student’s entries together as a school ‐ due Thursday 9 April (last day Term 1). PSSA CRICKET ‐ We had two nail‐bi ng encounters against Waitara P.S. last Friday. Our Junior team bowled and fielded well to restrict their opponents to 63 runs from 12 overs. The best bowlers were: Sid K. (1/1), Kean D. (1/3), Angus S. (0/3), Virat B. (0/4) and Jus n L. (0/4). Our run chase was on target, guided mainly by Brandon C. & Angus S. (23 runs), but we ended up falling 8 runs short with a total of 55 runs. Our Senior team also bowled first and conceded 46 runs from 12 overs. The best bowlers were: Daniel G. (2/5), Zac L. (1/6 from 2 overs) and Ashar A. (0/2). The run chase started well with Jayden H. & Zac L. (12 runs) and Remi V. & Daniel G. (11 runs) pu ng us in a strong posi on. Our final pair, Tom A. & Riley P. needed to score 9 runs from the last 2 overs to win the match. Tom hit three boundaries to guide us to a 52‐36 victory. There will be no more PSSA cricket matches, including

ASQUITH GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASS ‐ AGHS runs an Enrichment Class that is designed to extend high poten al and gi ed students. Expressions of interest for the Enrichment Class close on Friday, 20 March 2020.
