Horotiu School 2020 National Curriculum: Targets for the END of 2020 The majority of ALL Horotiu Learners will be at a Proficient or Advanced curriculum level in Reading , Writing and Mathematics. Aspirational Subject Targets 2020 (Reading 90%, Math 90%, Writing 85% End of Year) Big Successes in 2019 ü Roll hits 250 in November 2019. Data shifts in ALL areas. ü MOE agrees to new buildings to support roll growth. (Nov) ü Horotiu FM continues to broadcast across the district. ü School exceeds 2019 curriculum targets for the majority of learners. Male/ Female/ Female Maaori. 3 rd consecutive year. ü Community vision, mission and learner profile are visible in all aspects of Horotiu School. ü School Hui, Community and Learner Survey highlight success. ü Grants received from Grass Roots and the Harte Family. ü Spent $60,000 on IT, school signage, screens, pool heater, uniforms, life jackets, admin furnishings and digital resources. ü Property Developments approved by the MOE for 2020 $172,000 of additional funding provided. ü Pool heater and upgrade of Year 5&6 Learning Community Completed ü Raised $29,000 in 2019 to support Robotics and Programming. Biggest School Gala in the Waikato. ü Horotiu School attains Tier 2 PB4L status third year with 100%. ü Curriculum Learning progressions shared with all whanau for Reading, Writing and Math.
