Analysis of horror magazine #2

As Will Smith is the main character, he is in the centre of the magazine. Even though there are more images at the bottom of the page, Will Smith is shown importance.

The light as the back creates a shadow behind the main character. This shows that light is trying to come through or that Will Smith is the light, showing that he angelic or heroic. It creates a sense of mystery and danger.

There are more pictures at the bottom from films, which shows that in the magazine there is more information included with pictures which the audience will be attracted to.

As the audience can see that the character is holding a fun in his hand. This shows that he has a sense of power and authority and also shows masculinity. Even though holding a gun shows masculinity, the character is not standing in a masculine way. This could mean that he is scared of his position. As it isn’t shown properly on the magazine is creates a sense of enigma.

The audience can easily see that ‘I AM LEGEND’ is also a main part of the page. It’s written in white bold font, which stands against Will Smiths dark jacket.

There is a short description of the film. This is exciting to the audience as they would want to know more about the movie.

The colour theme on the magazine is simple colours such as red white and grey. The text that they have used are bold and stands against the image of Will Smith.
