AND ANALYZED THEIR SIGNIFICANCE TO THE

FILM AND WHAT THEY DO.

This shot is of a clip of a tape this shows that there has been previous

things that have happened before the film and might foreshadow what is

to come in the film

This shot draws the audiences attention in straight away as they want to

know what significance this tape has to the film.

There are multiple shots of people/ghosts with masks on scares the

audience as the masks hide any facial expression the person might show,

this takes away their humanity and leaves the audience questioning

whether their a threat.

This shot shows a handheld camera left filming on the floor in shot is a masked

person dragging someone along the floor. The fact the camera is laying on the

floor shows the helplessness for the person being dragged away and the confined

view in shot of the camera makes the audience feel confined and helpless.

The handheld camera draws the audience into the film as they are seeing a first

person perspective of what is happening in the film this submerses them and

makes them feel confined and venerable like the people on screen.

The establishing shot is of an abandoned deralic area this shows that the

area is isolated with no one that can help. This sets the scene for a typical

horror film that would be set in isolated areas with no one around for miles.

There are multiple Shots showing the murder weapon and constricted camera

views forcing the audience to focus on certain areas. There is also a focus pull

being used showing someone in the background which is blurred out.

Shots where the killer is shown are confined and close with the whole killer

not in shot.
