2 About this productThe DULCO®flex DF4a is a metering pump.The feed chemical is conveyed by means of therotor squeezing on the hose. No valves areneeded for this. This ensures gentle handling ofthe metered media.

Typical applications are in processes whereonly a low discharge pressure is required, suchas in the metering of chemicals into galvanicbaths, in clarification tanks or for metering con‐ditioning agents into swimming pools (floccu‐lants, activated carbon and chemicals).

The housing is made from shock-proof andchemical resistant PPE and is fully protectedfrom hose water (IP 65), meaning that universalapplication is ensured.

It is equipped with several inputs for meteringconfiguration. The stepper motor means thatmetering is infinitely adjustable.

The following provides an overview of the mostimportant features:

A qualified employee is deemed to be a personwho is able to assess the tasks assigned to himand recognise possible hazards based on his/her technical training, knowledge and experi‐ence, as well as knowledge of pertinent regula‐tions.

Electrician

Electricians are deemed to be people, who areable to complete work on electrical systemsand recognize and avoid possible hazardsindependently based on their technical trainingand experience, as well as knowledge of perti‐nent standards and regulations. Electriciansshould be specifically trained for the workingenvironment in which the are employed andknow the relevant standards and regulations.Electricians must comply with the provisions ofthe applicable statutory directives on accidentprevention.

Instructed personnel

An instructed person is deemed to be a personwho has been instructed and, if required,trained in the tasks assigned to him/her andpossible dangers that could result fromimproper behaviour, as well as having beeninstructed in the required protective equipmentand protective measures.

Customer Service department

The Customer Service department refers toservice technicians, who have received proventraining and have been authorised by ProMi‐nent® to work on the system.

– Take appropriate protective measuresbefore working on the pump (safetyglasses, safety gloves, ...). Observethe safety data sheet for the feedchemical.

CAUTION!

Warning of feed chemical spraying aroundFeed chemical can spray out of thehydraulic components if they are manipu‐lated or opened due to pressure in theliquid end and adjacent parts of thesystem.

The hydraulic section is to be discharged,emptied and flushed prior to undertakingwork on the system.

Protective equipment

The transparent cover on the liquid end servesto prevent persons touching the moving rotorand prevents metering medium leakage in theevent of a hose fracture.

Information in the event of an emergency

Remove the mains plug or press one of theemergency stop buttons, if fitted, in the event ofan emergency.

If feed chemical escapes, also depressurise thehydraulic system around the pump. Observethe safety data sheet for the feed chemical.

4 Storage and transport

WARNING!

Only return metering pumps for repair in acleaned state and with a flushed liquid end- refer to the section on decommissioning!

Only send metering pumps with a filled inDecontamination Declaration form. TheDecontamination Declaration constitutesan integral part of an inspection / repairorder. A unit can only be inspected orrepaired when a Declaration of Decontami‐nation Form is submitted that has beencompleted correctly and in full by anauthorised and qualified person on behalfof the pump operator.

The "Decontamination Declaration Form"can be found in the Appendix or atwww.prominent.com.

NOTICE!

Danger of material damageThe device can be damaged by incorrector improper storage or transportation!

– The device should only be stored ortransported in a well packaged state -preferably in its original packaging.

– The packaged unit should also onlybe stored or transported in accord‐ance with the stipulated storage con‐ditions.

– The packaged unit should be pro‐tected from moisture and the ingressof chemicals.

6 Design and functional descriptionThe pump is comprised of three main compo‐nents:

n Driver unit (stepper motor)n Liquid end (rotor, rollers and pump hose)n Operating unit

The device is housed in a robust plastichousing. The plastic housing is comprised ofupper and lower sections, which are screwedtogether. The lower section contains the PCBsfor motor control. The upper section of thehousing accommodates the motor and displayPCB with display and buttons.

The liquid end is mounted at the front and isclosed off by means of a screwed transparentcover to protect against injuries. The pumphose can easily be exchanged after the trans‐parent cover has been removed.

The stepper motor serves to drive the rotor.Two spring-mounted rollers at the ends of therotor serve to press the pump hose against thepump housing. This is runs along the inner archof the dosing head.

The rotary movement of the rotors alternatelypress and relax the rollers in relation to thepump hose. As a result, the liquid is sucked inand transported through the pressure hose.

The pump is operated by means of the oper‐ating unit. The desired metering level and modeare configured with this. The metering opera‐tion is controlled with the operating unit or viaand external contact, level and/or pause input.

7 Assembly and installationSafety information

Danger of an electric shockIf the device is used outdoors without acover or weatherproof roof, water may beable to collect on the seals and penetratethe housing or direct sunlight may causethe housing to be corroded.

– Always use a cover or weatherproofroof when using the unit outdoors.

CAUTION!

Danger of personal and material damageThe use of untested third party parts canresult in damage to personnel and materialdamage.

– Only fit parts to dosing pumps, whichhave been tested and recommendedby ProMinent.

CAUTION!

Warning of illegal operationObserve the regulations that apply wherethe unit is to be installed.

The device is resistant to normal atmos‐pheres in plant rooms.

7.1 Assembly1. Mark the bore holes on the wall - refer to Fig. 3.

2. Drill the Ø 8 mm holes and insert the dowels supplied - see Fig. 4.

3. Screw the cheese-head screw into the top bore hole and leave a gap of approx. 5.2 mm tothe wall.

4. Hook the device at the top into the screw head.

Carefully remove the upper part of the housing in order to avoid ripping off the ribbon cable.

5. Release the 4 screws from the upper part of the housing and engage the side-mounted clipsinto the receptacles on the lower section of the housing (parked position).

6. Screw the device to the wall on both the left and right sides with the remaining screws.

7.2 Hydraulic Installation

CAUTION!

Warning of escaping feed chemicalFeed chemicals can escape in the eventthat the hose lines are incorrectly installed.

– Only use original hoses with thespecified hose dimensions 6 x 4 mmor 10 x 4 mm.

– Avoid reducing the hose sizes– The hose lines used must be able to

withstand double the operating pres‐sure of the hose pump.

Mount the suction and discharge lines:

1. Cut off the ends of the hoses so thatthey are straight.

2. Screw on the cap nut and slide over thehose.

3. Screw in the hose end until it stops overthe nozzle.

4. Connect the discharge line to the right-hand hose connection.

5. Connect the suction line to the left-handhose connection.

6. Tighten up the cap nuts.

7. To do this, shorten the free end of thesuction line so that the end hangs justabove the container bottom.

8. If necessary, feed a hose line from theleakage fitting to the container.

7.3 Electrical Installation

WARNING!

Carry out the assembly work before theelectrical installation is undertaken.

WARNING!

Danger of electric shockThe use of a residual current circuitbreaker drastically increases the chancesof survival should persons come into con‐tact with the mains voltage in the event ofa malfunction.

– Always fit a residual current circuitbreaker on-site.

WARNING!

Unexpected startup is possibleAs soon as the pump is connected to themains, the pump may start pumping andconsequently feed chemical may escape.

– Prevent dangerous feed chemicalsfrom escaping.

– If you have not successfully pre‐vented this, immediately press the[STOP/START] key or disconnect thepump from mains, e.g. via an emer‐gency cu-off switch.

WARNING!

Risk of crushing fingersThe rotating rotor can cause fingers to becrushed.

– Before any work, disconnect thepump power cable from the mains.

The pump has an internal fuse.

7.3.1 Open the housing

WARNING!

Risk of electric shockThere may be live voltage in the inside ofthe pump.

– Disconnect the mains cable on thepump from the mains power supplybefore working on it.

WARNING!

Warning of hot surfacesThe motor can become very hot duringoperation.

– Always allow the motor to cool downin its immediate environment.

1. Remove the 4 screws from the uppersection of the housing.

2. Slide upper housing section with itsside-mounted clips into the receptacleson the rear section (parked position).

7.3.2 Preparing the mains connection1. Lay a power cable with short-circuit protection and mains switch - if necessary, with emer‐

gency stop switch.

2. Ensure that the mains power cable is dead and remains so!

3.

Check that the supply cables have metric threaded assemblies. Clamping zone - see"Technical Data" chapter.

Break out the small bore hole at the far right on the lower side of the back section by meansof a screwdriver.

4. Screw in the corresponding screw and tighten up - not the scalping screw.

5. Insert the reducing inserts depending on the cable diameter being used and insert thethreaded assembly.

WARNING!

Risk of short circuitCable ends without cable end sleeves can loosen over a period of time and come into contactwith other cable ends.

– Only use cable with suitable cable end sleeves (0.75 mm2).

6. Feed the mains cable into the threaded assembly.

7. Connect the mains cable to terminal block XP1 - see Fig. 5.

8. Tighten up the clamping screw so that the threaded assembly is moisture-proof.

7.3.3 Additional connectionsAdditional devices can be connected up to themetering pump terminal blocks - see "Wiringdiagram" in the appendix.

in the event that the level input is operatedwith two stages)

n Switchable change in performance:AUX_1, AUX_2 (only in the event that thelevel input is operated with one stage -without level-warning)

n Alarm relayn External input for control via analogue

signal

The external switching terminal blocks for levelinput and pause input react differentlydepending on the supplied state - see "Identitycode" chapter In the event that the pause inputis set to react as an opening contact(NORM.CLOSE preset), then a contact bridgewill be preinstalled on the corresponding ter‐minal block. This means that the pump beinstalled and operated immediately.

The contact bridges may have to beremoved when connecting up the unit.

7.3.4 Close the housing

WARNING!

Danger of electric shockThe live components are not shieldedwhen the housing is open.

– The housing must be closed in amoisture-proof manner after com‐pleting any work.

1. In order to do so, replace the upper partof the housing onto the lower section.

2. Tighten the screws hand-tight.

WARNING!

Danger of electric shockThe IP 65 protection class cannotbe ensured if the seal is not prop‐erly fitted.

– Ensure that the seal is cor‐rectly fitted.

8 Commissioning

CAUTION!

You must be acquainted with the contentsof the operating instructions before startingthe commissioning process!

2. Prime the feed chemical by simultane‐ously pressing both [arrow keys] untilthe pump hose is filled.

Metering output „DOS“ is the product of circula‐tion capacity „FLOW“ and metering concentra‐tion „CONC“. If metering output is changed, themetering concentration is modified automati‐cally.

The circulation capacity „FLOW“ specifies howmany m3 per hour the circulation pump con‐veys.

CONC (for MANUAL and ANALOG)

The metering concentration „CONC“ specifieshow many ml per m3 are to be metered.

"Manual" operating mode

"ANALOG" operating mode

In operating mode „ANALOG“ it is permitted toconfigure the metering concentra‐tion„CONC“ as well as metering output „DOS“ .The external input analogue signal specifies thevalue for circulation capacity „FLOW“ . If the cir‐culation capacity „FLOW“ is increased, thenmetering output „DOS“ is automaticallyadapted, in order that the metering concentra‐tion „CONC“ remains the same.

Under „CONTACT“ the display indicates anadditional lower case "m" if the memory func‐tion („MEMORY“) has been activated and con‐tacts are pending processing in the memory.

The metered volume per contact can be config‐ured here in ml per contact. This value is re-cal‐culated in the event that the effective concen‐tration is modified.

Pulse spacing factor (FACTOR)

The impulse spacing can be entered here inlitres per contact.

For example, an entry of 10.0 means 10 litresper contact.

9.3.2 Modifying the operatingmode (menu MODE)

There are two modes:

n „MANUAL“n „ANALOG“n „CONTACT“.

The operating mode setting determineswhether the metering output of the pump is tobe manually configured, controlled via the ana‐logue input (circulating output) or controlled viathe contact input.

In operating mode „MANUAL“ operating mode,the pump works at constant capacity, whichcan be adjusted using the [arrow keys] . Thecurrent capacity is displayed in the continuousdisplay.

In operating mode „ANALOG“ , the circulatingoutput is specified via the external input.

In operating mode „CONTACT“ , contact sig‐nals are provided via the external input. Thepump meters the configured quantity per con‐tact (menu „VOLUM“).Pressing the button [Start/Stop] causes theump to be started and stopped in the respectivemode. When it is in stop mode, the second rowof the LCD screen displays „STOP“.

The analogue signal serves to configurethe circulating output and not the meteringoutput when the system is being used asan activated carbon and flocculent pump.

9.3.3 Changing parameters(menu SET)

9.3.3.1 Settings for ANALOGmode (submenuANALOG)

If „ANALOG“ mode is configured - see chapter8.3.2 "Changing the operating mode", then thestandard signal range (0/4-20 mA, 0-10 V) ofthe analogue input and the corresponding cir‐culating output is to be configured.

CAUTION!

Connecting the incorrect cable to the ana‐logue input can lead to undesired results.

– When switching over to„ANALOG“ mode, always ensure thatthe correct signal is set for the ana‐logue input. If necessary, remove thesignal cable before you switch over to„ANALOG“.

From the menu point „ANALOG MIN“ , the min‐imum circulating output is configured which canbe supplied by a minimum analogue signal (0/4mA/0 V).

From the menu point „ANALOG MAX“ , themaximum circulating output is configured whichcan be supplied by a maximum analogue signal(0/20 mA/10 V).

9.3.3.2 Settings for Contactmode (submenu CON‐CENTRAT)

Only possible in operating mode "Contact".

9.3.3.2.1 Signalising deviceLED

In contrast to the modes „MANUAL“ and„ANALOG“ the device LED flashes upon eachcontact signal.

A contact frequency in excess of 10 Hz is dis‐played my means of a constant flash frequencyof 10 Hz. For this reason, the flash frequencyfor frequencies over 10 Hz is merely an indica‐tion that contact signals are being input.

9.3.3.2.2 Operation withoutextended functionMEMORY

In contact mode without extended function„MEMORY“ the system processes the config‐ured metering quantity („VOLUM“) per contactand with the specified metering output. Exces‐sive incoming contacts are not stored and willbe lost.

9.3.3.2.3 Operation withextended functionMEMORY

With activated extended function „MEMORY“ ,all contacts that are sent to the pump during themetering process are stored and subsequentlyprocessed.

The stored contacts can be deleted by meansof deactivating the memory function or bychanging the operating mode.

A maximum of 100,000 contact signals can bestored. If more contact signals are pending, anerror message appears („EXTERN LIMIT“) andthe pump stops.

9.3.3.2.4 Special behaviourwith extended func‐tion MEMORY

Frequency mode

(not for chemical pump)

In Contact mode the contacts are processed inaccordance with the specified metering volumeand the specified metering output.

If the extended function MEMORY is activated,the pump switches over from contact mode intofrequency mode in the event that the input fre‐quency rises to 0.4 Hz - see Fig. 11.

In Frequency operation the input frequency cor‐responds to a specified metering output. Thismeans that at a factor of 1.0, the maximummetering output is achieved at an input fre‐quency of 3 Hz.

Only when the value 0.2 Hz is undershot doesthe pump switch back from frequency modeinto contact mode - see Fig. 11.

Metering process is automaticallyabortedThe metering process is aborted in theevent that no contacts are supplied for 2 to3 seconds and the contact memory isempty.

Special behaviour with extended functionMEMORY

Example settings:

Manual metering output: 10 %,

Metered volume per contact: 2.5 ml/p

Factor (pulse spacing): 1,0

Maximum metering output: 1.5 l/h

Then 20 contacts would correspond to: 20 x2.5 ml = 50 ml

If the contacts are supplied rapidly (> 0.4 Hz),then the 50 ml is processed with a meteringoutput in relation to the input frequency of thecontacts (frequency mode).

If the contacts are supplied slowly (≤ 0.4 Hz),then the 50 ml is processed with the manualmetering output of 10 % (contact mode).

At 10% metering output, the metering pumpneeds at least 1 minute for 2.5 ml. Thismeans that it needs at least 20 mins for 50 ml.

In order to reduce the run-on time

always work with low metered volumes percontact with frequency mode.This is due to the fact that the run-on timeis based on the number of non-processedcontacts multiplied by the contact pro‐cessing time.

In order to avoid sudden changes inspeedConfigure a manual metering output ofless than 10% when operating in contactmode, in order to avoid sudden changes inspeed when starting and stopping the unit.

Factor

The pump is equipped for contact water meteroperation and delivers 100 % of its meteringoutput at a contact frequency of 3 Hz (180 con‐tacts/min). The contact frequency with whichthe pump works at 100% metering output canbe modified by the "FACTOR" parameter.

Example

For example, with a factor of 1.5, 100%metering output is already achieved at 2 Hz.Or with a factor of 0.5, it is first achieved at 6Hz - please refer to the following table:

9.3.3.3 Settings for switchablechanges to meteringperformance (sub‐menus AUX_1 /AUX_2)

For flocculent or activated carbon pump:

The switchable changes to metering perform‐ance enable the current metering output to bemodified by a proportional value. This meansthat under a current metering output of 60%, ametering performance change of 150% will leadto a metering output of 90%. It is not possible toachieve an absolute metering output greaterthan 100%. While the switchable metering per‐formance change is active, the modifiedmetering output is shown on the LCD screen.

If both metering output changes are activated(switched) then only the change to meteringperformance with the lesser value is executed.For example, if AUX_1 has a metering outputchange of 10% and AUX-2 has a meteringoutput change of 140%. If both are activated,then the metering output change of 10% will beexecuted.

If the metering output falls below 0.5%, thepump will stop.

For chemical pumps:

The switchable changes to metering perform‐ance enable the current metering output to bemodified to a fixed metered value. While theswitchable metering performance change isactive, the modified metering output is shownon the LCD screen.

If both metering output changes are activated(switched) then only the change to meteringperformance with the lesser value is executed.

9.3.4 Changing the configura‐tion (menu CONFIG)

The following can be configured from thismenu:

9.3.4.1 Pause-input configura‐tion (submenu PAUSE)

Switch input "Pause" can be used to trigger aremote stop for the pump, without the need fordisconnecting the pump from the mains.

The standard position of the switch, which isconnected to the pause input, can be config‐ured in the operating menu. The following set‐tings are possible:

n NORM. OPEN (NC)n NORM. CLOSE (NO)

9.3.4.2 Configuration of levelfunction (submenuLIMIT)

The level function contains a two-stage levelinput. Consequently a pre-warning upon under‐shooting of the metering reservoir warning levelas well as switching off when the metering res‐ervoir is empty are enabled.

The configured level mode determines whetherthe level input is used as a two-stage or singlestage input.

In single-stage level mode, the switch for pre‐warning in two-stage mode may be optionallyused as a switch for changing metering per‐formance AUX_2 - see Ä Chapter 9.3.3.3 „Set‐tings for switchable changes to metering per‐formance (submenus AUX_1 /AUX_2)“ on page 38.

9.3.4.3 Configuration of relayfunction (submenuRELAY)

The relay can be configured as an alarm relayor, when used as an activated carbon pump, itcan be used to control a solenoid valve forbackwashing.

When used as an alarm relay, if a certain eventoccurs, the alarm will be triggered. The alarm isswitched by means of a relay.

The alarm relay is configured by default as anormally closed contact (NC). This means that,for example, a cable fracture or lack of voltagewill be registered as a fault. The following set‐tings are possible for the alarm relay:

n NORM. OPEN (NO)n NORM. CLOSE (NC)

A total of 3 alarm stages can be used. Eachalarm stage uses different event types, at withthe alarm is triggered:

9.3.4.4 Configuring the start-up behaviour of thestepper motor (sub‐menu STARTCON‐TROL)

This parameter determines how the motorbehaves during start-up. In the event of lowambient temperatures, a soft start-up behaviourserves to protect the hose and the pump driveunit. In order to do so, this parameter must beset to „ON“ . Under „OFF“ the motor will start upnormally and immediately achieves therequired speed.

9.3.4.5 Configuration of pausedelay timer (PAUSEDELAY)

This configuration menu enables pumpmetering to be delayed by means of a remotestop (PAUSE).

9.3.5 Service menu (MenuSERVICE)

From the service menu you can:

1 - Reset the counter (CLEAR COUNTER)

2 - Configure the backflushing parameters(REVERSE)

3 - Apply hose functions (CHANGE TUBE)

4 - Set the LCD contrast (LCD-CONTRAST)

9.3.5.1 Reset the counters(Submenu CLEARCOUNTER)

In the submenu „CLEAR COUNTER“ thecounter for the metering quantity („QUANTITY“)can be reset to "0" by means of the DOWNbutton.

9.3.5.2 Configuring the back‐flushing parameters(submenu REVERSE)

The activated carbon pump has the option tooccasionally backflush the pump hose - indoing so, the rotor turns in an anticlockwisedirection. In the submenu „REVERSE“ you canconfigure the backflushing parameters.

A solenoid valve can be controlled via therelay output in order to open the back‐flushing line (configured as „MV RELAY“ ).

Manual backflushing

In the submenu „REVERSE-TIME“ it is possibleto perform manual backflushing.

If the backflushing time is set to 0 s, the motorwill move for as long as the two [arrow keys]are pressed.

If a backflushing time is set greater than 0 s([arrow keys]), then the motor will move in areverse direction for this period. The residualtime is indicated on the display.

The backflushing time can be aborted bymeans of the [P] key - the system then togglesto the subsequent menu item.

The service interval counter dies not increaseunder use of manual backflushing.

Automatic backflushing

Under automatic backflushing, the meteringprocess is interrupted and the system back‐flushes for the specified time (REVERSE-TIME).

After the backflushing time has elapsed, thesystem is automatically primed for 6 s, in orderto refill the suction line.

Backflushing interval

In the submenu „REV.-INTERVAL“ you canconfigure the backflushing interval.

A backflushing process directly afterswitching on the pump is only possiblesubsequent to a metering time of oneminute.

Backflushing speed

It is recommended to leave the maximumspeed configuration, in order that thedeposits can be more effectively removed.

In the submenu „REVERSE FREQ.“ you canconfigure the backflushing speed.

9.3.5.3 Apply hose functions(submenu CHANGETUBE)

The function „CHANGE TUBE“ supports youwhen exchanging the pump hose by drawing inthe corresponding correct direction - see "Main‐tenance" chapter.

The warning time „TUBE LIMIT“ for a subse‐quent hose exchange is configurable. Once thistime has elapsed, the operator is warned that ahose change is pending in the display.

9.3.5.4 Set the LCD contrast(submenu LCD-CON‐TRAST)

In the submenu „LCD-CONTRAST“ it is pos‐sible to adjust the contrast for the LCD screenvia the [arrow keys] .

9.3.6 Read system information(menu INFO)

9.3.7.3 Set hose type (sub‐menu TUBE TYPE)

This submenu can be used in order to adaptthe pump to modified hose types.

If the hose type is changed, then the corre‐sponding rotor must be used.

9.3.7.4 Access code configura‐tion (submenuCHANGE CODE)

This submenu can be used to activate, enter ormodify an access code.

The factory setting for the access code is 1111.

As soon as an access code is set, it restrictsaccess to operation as described in theseinstructions - Ä Chapter 9.3.7.1 „Configurationof access level (submenu ACCESSLEVEL)“ on page 42.

Once the access code has been entered in thequery mask, entries can be made.

If no keys are pressed, then access remainsopen for a period of 3 mins.

9.3.8 Pump calibration (menuCALIBRATION)

WARNING!

For reasons of safety and ease of use,only undertake calibration with water.

Prerequisites:

n The pump has been stopped.n The suction hose hangs freely in a con‐

tainer of water positioned on a set ofscales or in a filled measuring tank.

1. Make a note of the weight or filling level.

2. From the permanent display, press [P]for approx. 2 s.

ð The menu „MAIN“ appears.

3. If necessary, enter the access code withthe [arrow keys] and press the [P] .

4. Press button [DOWN] until the menu„CALIBRATION“ appears.

5. Press button [P] .

ð The sub-menu „CALIB.START“ appears.

If you do not intend to carryout calibration, use the[arrow keys] „to select NO“ .

6. Press button [P] .

ð The sub-menu „CALIB.RUNS“ appears, as soon as thepump starts pumping.

7. After the pump has achieved a sufficientnumber of rotations (suggestion: 10 rev‐olutions), press the [P] key.

ð The sub-menu „CALIB.VALUE“ appears and the pumpstops.

8. Make a note of the new weight or newfilling level of the container.

9. Divide the weight difference by 1 g/ml orsubtract the two filling levels from eachother.

10. In the event that the specified valuedeviates from the value indicated, thenenter the specified value in the submenuwith the [arrow keys] and press the [P]key.

ð The display „EXIT“ appears and thecalibration process is complete.

11. Press the [P] key again.

ð A continuous display appears.

12. Once the suction hose has been refitted,the pump can be restarted.

Exchanging the solution container

Suitable safety precautions must be taken -observe the safety data sheet for the meteringchemical.

1. Disconnect the mains supply

2. Place the new solution container under‐neath the metering pump and open it.

3. Carefully remove the suction fitting verti‐cally from the old solution container,insert it into the new one and screw inplace.

4. Insert the mains plug in the socket.

5. If necessary, press the two [arrow keys]simultaneously in order to prime thesystem.

6. Dispose of the old solution containers ina proper manner.

Changing the pump hose

Prerequisites:

n The correct pump hose is available.n Metering operation is stopped.

1. Unscrew the suction and discharge linesfrom the pump fittings.

2. Release the fastening screws from thetransparent cover and remove the trans‐parent cover.

CAUTION!

Drops of the feed chemical mayspray out when removing the pumphose!

Pull the hose bearing (=lower section ofthe liquid end) together with the hoseforwards out of the liquid end.

In doing so, should the rotor turn: Pressboth [arrow keys] .

4. Slide the new hose bearing with the newpump hose into the bottom part of theliquid end.

Insert the mains plug into the socket.

11. Replace the transparent cover onto thehousing and fasten in place with thescrews.
