Job Role ProfileTitle: Community and Events FundraiserResponsible To: Community & Events Fundraising ManagerAccountable To: Director of Income GenerationHours: 37.5Core Purpose:As a member of the Community and Events Fundraising Team you will play a pivotal role in the development and growth of community fundraising as a sustainable income stream for the Hospice of The Good Shepherd in the Cheshire West and Chester area. Build productive relationships and raise funds across all the community income streams including; individuals, community, education, groups, smaller local businesses, and events. Recruit, manage, motivate and grow fundraising volunteers and to maximise all networking opportunities. You will also deliver a number of high quality, financially successful fundraising events to generate an income.Working to agreed income targets you will contribute to the overall fundraising strategy and its implementation and play a key role in the team.Structure

Responsibilities FUNDRAISINGCommunity Activities• Contribute to the annual community fundraising plan for your areas of responsibilities to achieve income targets as agreed with the Income Generation Director.• Research, identify, recruit and nurture new relationships with individuals, Community Groups, Schools and other groups identified, to promote their own fundraising activities, together with them participating in the Charity’s home-grown flagship events.• To identify and develop community groups Charity of the Year proposals and manage these relationships and partnerships as they are secured. • Develop and grow income from the local SME businesses as part of the community development plan, in conjunction with the Corporate and Major Donor Manager and the Income Generation Director. • Develop and establish an annual programme of talks and presentations to community groups and schools to raise awareness of the work of the Hospice and recruit them to raise funds for the Charity. • To recruit, develop and manage fundraising volunteers. • To be proactive in creating fundraising opportunities, and maximise on them to the fullest.• To promote In Memorial, Tribute Fund, Legacies and committed giving. • To ensure that all supporters, donors and volunteers have a first class experience of their contact and relationship with the Charity. Events• Plan, support and deliver a number of events and activities organised directly by the organisation. • Meet agreed income and productivity budgets/targets through successful management of activities. • Working with the Communications and Marketing Officer, maximise publicity on all fundraising activity within the local area.• Ensure the meticulous recording of all data relating to events fundraising on Donor flex and filing systems • Provide effective customer care, for both participants and events partners/supporters at hospice events whether by letter, email, phone and face to face including development of supporter packs.

• Take responsibility for developing and sending out event information packs • Responsible for the administration, registration, recruitment and standard procedures for hospice organised events.FINANCIAL • Take personal responsibility for achieving agreed income and expenditure targets.• Prepare, monitor and report on income and expenditure for event and community activities and their variances to support the annual pipeline, month end and quarterly process.• To monitor agreed objectives and KPI’s• To maintain accurate income information and donor reports through our financial systems and Donor Flex database• To ensure all relevant financial and charity law regulations for fundraising and handling of monies are adhered to at all times.ADMINISTRATIVE• Provide monthly reports as agreed by the Income Generation Director. • To ensure that the fundraising database Donor Flex is kept up to date on all activities and communications with potential and existing supporters and donors. • Ensure that responding and handling of enquiries, sending out information and materials and fulfilling any other request is done so in a timely and professional manner. • To provide or oversee support for all third party fundraising activities, and ensure that the Charity has full details recorded on the fundraising database of all known third party activities.• To ensure all activities support the Charity’s Fundraising Strategy.• To ensure that all fundraising activities are in compliance with all relevant charity laws and regulations. COMMUNICATION • To ensure that you represent the Charity in a professional manner, are protective of the Charity’s brand
