CARDIOVASCULAR SERVICES

Invasive, interventional and noninterventional cardiology and electrophysiology are all included in Dixie Regional Medical Center’s heart services program.

The first open-heart surgery in this region was successfully performed by thoracic surgeons Roger Millar, MD, and Kory Woodbury, MD, on December 2, 2003. More than 400 residents each year can now stay close to the support of family and friends when open-heart surgery is needed. Although transplantation does not occur here, bypass grafts, valve replacement and most other reparative procedures are offered.

Dixie Regional Medical Center’s heart program is recognized nationally as a Thomson Reuters Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital.

Dixie Regional’s vascular program combines the expertise of several hospital departments to better care for patients who suffer from vascular disease and conditions related to vascular disease.
