Technology now plays a key role in front of house applications in the restaurant industry. Ranging from EPoS systems to mobile ordering devices and receipt printers, restaurants can use technology to offer an enhanced level of customer service.

EPoS Terminals - Are vital for order processing, transactions, stock management and accounting. Fanless technology enables EPoS terminals to run silently and efficiently whilst bezel-free touchscreens add to the surroundings of any elegantly decorated bar or restaurant.

Restaurants

Durable and spill resistant, EPoS terminals are required to be tough enough to cope with the rigours of busy hospitality environments.

Handhelds - A stylish and efficient replacement of the traditional waiter notepad and pen. Orders can be sent in real-time to kitchen displays, speeding up service and ensuring a higher level of accuracy. Handhelds are required to be spill-proof and durable to reduce maintenance and replacement costs.

Receipt Printers - Spill proof receipt printers ensure less hardware downtime. Mobile printers allow waiting staff to produce receipts from anywhere in the premises during busy service periods.

Catering Visitor Loyalty

Hospitality workers can now be equipped with handheld devices, printers and scanners to carry out everyday tasks in a more accurate and efficient manner. Transferring paper based processes to digital platforms reduces the risk of human error and allows for more accurate reporting.

Order Systems - The use of tablets and handheld devices to take orders in a restaurant allows the order information to be instantly relayed to monitors installed in the kitchen. Specialist impact kitchen printers are also required as hot and humid environments cause traditional direct thermal print rolls to degrade. Printers and order alarm systems can be wall mounted.

Label Printers - All perishable goods are required to be accurately labelled and regularly checked in any hospitality environment. GSM Barcoding supplies a range of label printers and associated handheld devices that can speed up the labelling process for kitchen and restaurant staff.

Handheld Scanners - Handheld scanners are used in hospitality environments with large stock inventories to accurately track stock and to quickly identify the location of items. Items labelled with barcodes can be logged and managed using PC, tablet or smartphone.

loyalty programmes or staff for access purposes.

Card Media - The cards produced by specialist card printers can be used to offer discounts oraward points to customers who are a part of a hospitality membership scheme. This can be used to attract new customers and strengthen relationships by rewarding existing customers.

2D Scanners - QR codes can be included on downloadable customer vouchers as part of promotional offers or loyalty schemes. 2D scanners are required to read these codes directly from a customer’s smartphone.

In an ever increasing competitive environment, businesses need a way to help them stand out from the crowd. Customer loyalty schemes are an effective way to improve customer retention and also generate new business. They also provide a great marketing tool to help raise company awareness.

Card Printers - Offer direct-to-card printing solutions to create and distribute customer loyalty/staff ID cards on site. Printers include magnetic stripe encoding capabilities and RFID programming enabling staff to create smartcards. These cards can then be swiped to quickly identify customers in

Conferences & Exhibitions

Organisers of large scale conferences and exhibitions can utilise a range of technologies to assist with delegate identification and recording visitor information, both for event organisers and exhibitors. We provide solutions to meet all requirements for printing and data capture activities.

Tabletop Printers - Event organisers can use small tabletop printers to produce delegate ID badges on the day of the conference or exhibition. These badges often include 1D or 2D barcodes containing the information of the delegate.

Data Collectors - Exhibitors at an event can be provided with small handheld data collectors to quickly and easily record the information of every visitor they interact with at their stall. This information can then be downloaded and used to follow up any leads and to build a relevant prospect database.

Card Printers - If ID cards are required by staff or visitors to a conference or exhibition these can be printed in advance or on site using Zebra card printers and print media. ID cards can be encoded using MSR or RFID in order to make the cards usable for access or quick identification.

Cards can also be used as payment options and can be preloaded with payment credit if delegates are to be offered a complimentary service such as a bar.
