Gary has degrees from Colorado Christian University (B.A. in
Biblical Studies 1970), Western Seminary (M.Div. in Pastoral Studies
1975), and Fuller Theological Seminary (D.Min. in Church Growth
Studies in 1982 and Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies 2005).
He is currently Professor of Christian Ministry and Leadership
at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, where he teaches
courses in the field of Pastoral Theology. He is also vice-president of
the Society for Church Consulting and President of the Church Growth
Network.
To date, Gary has published twenty-two books, six manuals,
and over one hundred articles on church growth, leadership, and pas-
toral ministry. As a consultant, he has worked with over 1,200
churches in the United States, Canada, the Middle East, and Southeast
Asia.
Gary and his wife Carol reside in Temecula, CA and have two
married children and seven grandchildren.
