Dave cogdill – Former Senator Dave Cogdill is now the President and CEO of the California Building Industy Association, a position he has served in since 2013. Prior to serving on its board, Dave was the country assessor for Stanislaus from 2011-2013. He also served as a Commissioner on the California Water Commission and as the Chairman of the Maddy Institute at Fresno State University after departing from legislature. During his years in office, Cogdill worked often with leaders to resolve issues relating to rural, health care, and education.
christopher thornberg – Dr. Thornberg is an expert in the study of regional economies, real estate dynamics, labor markets and business forecasting. He has been involved in a number of special studies measuring the impact of important events on the economy, including the NAFTA treaty, the California power crisis, port security, and the September 11th terrorist attacks. Prior to launching Beacon he worked with the UCLA Anderson Forecast where he regularly authored the outlooks for California.

Bruce hosts an award-winning radio show on 590am and in his free time practices martial arts.

Leveraging 15 years in the software industry, Sean used technology as a key competitive advantage to build his successful real estate investment track record. Sean has always thrived in start-up environments, and as such, became a key contributor at Xing Technology (acquired by Real Networks), ISI/GlobalCenter (acquired by Global Crossing), and Icarian, Inc. (acquired by Workstream, Inc.).
beth Peerce – Beth Peerce is this year’s vice president of the National Association of Realtors, after having served as a realtor for over 35 years in Beverly Hills, California. In addition, she is also the broker/owner of Prime Time Properties, located in Century City, California and whose specialty is residential real estate. Beth has served on the board of directors for the NAR since 2000 as well as several committees and sub-committees, including the Executive Committee.
Doug Duncan – Douglas G. Duncan is Fannie Mae’s Vice President and Chief Economist. He is responsible for managing Fannie Mae’s Strategy Division and Economics & Mortgage Market Analysis Groups. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Duncan was Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at the Mortgage Bankers Association. Recently named one of the country’s top four most accurate economists in 2010 by the Wall Street Journal and named one of Bloomberg / BusinessWeek’s 50 Most Powerful People in Real Estate, Duncan is a frequent speaker on national and state economic, housing, and mortgage market conditions.
bill cosgrove – Bill is the Chairman Elect of the Mortgage Bankers Association in addition to serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Union Home Mortgage Corp. in Ohio. He was named the company president three years after joining the Union National Mortgage Company in 1994, which he purchased in 1999 and is expected to close over $1.2 billion in lending this year. On October 19, Bill was officially sworn in as the Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association. Bill first began his career in the mortgage banking industry in 1986 as a loan officer. Since then he has served in many positions for the MBA.
