To lead the regional Technical Fit process and to work with the Designer, PreProduction, Merchants, QA/QC and Vendors, taking responsibility for thetechnical development of new styles and the application of all qualitystandards relating to fit and construction.
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Design department, Pre Production team, Merchants, Production team and Vendors to establish and apply through the management of the Fit Technologists, standards of fit and construction
Manage the production of technical specification packages to communicate requirements for fit and construction from concept through to bulk production
Ensure that products are developed consistent with the established fit and quality standards, manufacturer’s capabilities and cost specifications
Assess and appraise the sampling and pre-production capability of vendors within the technical development process, identifying areas of weakness and agreeing on programs of continuous improvement

Initiate technical development in fit and construction to identify possible first to market opportunities
Maintain a technical education of the latest techniques and methods available to the clothing industry
Responsible for managing the adherence of the time and action calendars during the pre-production process
Train and develop associates to increase their skill levels

Review vendor capabilities within the technical development process
RequirementsA technical education in garment fit and construction to degree level or equivalent work experience
At least 3-5 years of technical experience, gained while working within either the textile industry, or in a retail environment, preferably in intimates
Practical experience of patternmaking and garment construction for bulk production
Practical experience of applying proven techniques of quality assurance within the clothing industry
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; excellent communicator
Fluent English and Chinese ( an added advantage)

An understanding and preferably 2-3 years experience using computer specification package (PDM)
Practical experience of applying proven techniques of quality assurance within the clothing industry
